Marie Cousins P.O.V
Georgie gave me a sympathetic look upon hearing about how dumb Kim was to get mad at me for trying to warn her.

"I'm sorry Marie." Georgie said, which was followed by him taking my hand and holding it.

I put myself into a deep thought, and I could feel myself blinking a lot.

"I don't understand! I didn't even do anything wrong but Jared did!" I could feel myself start to tear up, but I fought it back.

Somehow.

Georgie didn't even say anything, he just looked at me with that same look.

"I'm sorry I'm not more help." Georgie finally said.

"It's fine." I replied, tucking a piece of hair behind my ear with my free hand.

"Hey Marie!" A voice that belonged to no other then Kimberly White said.

"What Kim?!" I suddenly snapped and took my hand away from Georgie's aggressively.

"A bunch of us are going to the mall after school in Jared's car. Do you want to come?" Kim out a hand on the bleacher pole as she spoke.

"No thanks." I said and walked down the bleachers onto the grass and Georgie followed close behind me.

"Why not?" Jared challenged. "Cause your uncool?"

Georgie shot Jared the finger, but I pulled his arm down. Oh god this doesn't look good.

"Hey Cooper don't flip off my boyfriend he's my true love." Kim snapped.

"Wait a second. Kim?" I asked.

"I don't need to talk to you."

"Have you been drinking?"

"No! She punched me in the arm after she snapped at me, which followed by me storming off.

I could sense someone behind me, so I walked faster.

I looked back and saw Georgie's concerned facial expression looking at me.

I stopped walking so he could catch up, and he held my hand softly.

"I don't understand." I said, this time I couldn't stop the tears from falling down my face.

"Understand what?" Georgie asked and wiped a tear off my face with his finger.

"Everything!"

Silence fell between us, and I was lost in my thoughts due to them being about Kimberly White. She was my best friend.

I hate Jared. He's a bad influence on her, he is making Kim hate me.

"Wanna watch a movie with me tonight after my football practice?" Georgie asked as he put his arm around me.

"Sure. What movie do ya wanna watch?" I asked in reply.

"I don't know, maybe The Shining? Or is that too scary for you?"

"No it's not too scary for me and sure let's watch that."
