Marie Cousins P.O.V
"No she's not getting an abortion." My dad said.
"Good." I made no eye contact with him when I replied.
"Is everything okay?"
"Yeah."
"I still haven't gotten in contact with your mother."
"Oh."
I sat back on my bed, and pulled out my favourite book, with the name of IT. I had read it already, but I figured I'd read some of it again.
I heard the loud door bell.
"I'll get it!" My dad called out.
I was curious as to who was at the door, and it was my mother. I,was honestly shocked.
"Mom what are you doing here?" I asked.
"Looking for you."
I backed away slowly. I wish I had been anywhere but her. With Georgie, or Kim, anywhere but here.
Resist the urge Marie, don't run away.
Don't run away.I gulped as I leaned against the counter. My dad wasn't even saying anything at all.
I tried to breathe, but I felt as if breath had been taken away from me.
My mother wasn't even in the house yet and I was already calling for help in my mind. She beat up Kim. I sprinted up to my room, and locked the door, and pressed my body against it. I let it slide down the door as I sat myself down on the floor. My legs stretched along the wood of my bedroom floor.
My heart began to race as I heard footsteps get louder and louder coming towards my door.
I reached in my pocket, and I realized I didn't have my knife with me. I left it at the cabin.
"Open this door right now Marie!" My mother snapped as she struggled with the doorknob.
Guess my running days aren't over then. I opened up my window, and jumped out of it, lucky I landed on my feet. I sprinted across my front lawn, and down the sidewalk, and ran all the way to Georgie's house.
