Chapter 6-Smile

***Erin's point of view***

“Sweetie, sweetie, wake up,” I hear someone say with a gentle shake on the shoulder. My eyes shoot open right away.

“What? What happened? Where’s Harry?!” I gush out, sitting upright on the bench. I was in the waiting area in the hospital, been waiting around since Harry got here.

“Relax, Erin. Harry’s up. He’s been up for about 2 hours now as Paul tells me,” Lou Teasdale says. Lou was a really nice person, very cool with a motherly side because of Baby Lux. She was the kind of mother I dreamed I had.

“Really?” I say and stand up immediately then everything starts to spin and I stumble forward.

“Whoa, slow down there, love,” she says, placing a hand on my arm, steadying me.

“Can I see him?” I ask, adamant on seeing Harry. I was so worried. It took me forever to get some shut eye.

“Sure, let’s go together,” she answers with a smile. Lou takes my hand and we walk together towards Harry’s room. She knocks then opens the door and I’m surprised by what I see.

I was expecting him to be lying down on his bed, reading some magazine or watching T.V. or something. But I was wrong. He was propped up on his bed with the other boys around him. Niall had a guitar in his arms and he was strumming on it as everyone sang ‘More Than This’. They were on the last line and finished quickly.

“Erin?” Niall says as soon as they finish, looking at my clothes. “You haven’t gone back to the hotel yet? I told you to go back last night.”

True. The doctor told us that it was just a side effect of Harry’s fall and it really would be difficult to remember. He told us that Harry would be fine and then Niall told me to go back to the hotel to get some proper rest-he insisted. But I was too darn worried to go back so I secretly slept in the waiting room.

“Shouldn’t Harry be resting?” I ask, ignoring Niall’s question to prevent a whole argument or something.

“That’s what I said,” Liam replies.

“We’re having a radio performance later. We’re going to be singing ‘More Than This’ and ‘What Makes You Beautiful’. Harry NEEDS to learn them and fast,” Zayn explains.

“But he just fainted! His head was killing him and he fainted,” I protest.

“And whose fault d’you think was that?” Louis shoots at me and I fall silent.

“Louis!” Liam hisses at him and Louis looks away.

“Stop blaming her,” Harry says. “And Erin, I’m okay, really.”

“Are you sure? You worried me to death last night, Harry,” I tell him, the image of him in pain and falling to the floor still searing in my brain.

“I’ll be fine,” he says, reaching for my hand and I allow him to hold it. “I promise.”

"This is radio 93.1 Only Music and today we have One Direction with us who will be singing two of their hit songs but before that we'll have a few twitter questions and rumors to clear up. Boys?" the DJ starts off with a peppy and chipper attitude but I'm not brought along with it as I sit in the next room, looking at the boys through a glass window, my nerves about to kill me. This was Harry's first interview since the accident.

"Right. Hi I'm Louis!" The Doncaster boy leads, matching the DJ's bright attitude.

"Liam here!"
