Chapter 22-Hidden

***Harry’s point of view***

The concert ended and I was standing backstage, waiting for Erin to come by. Last time I peeked outside since it ended fans were swarming her and asking her questions, I just left her to it.

My phone dings, signaling I have a message and I open it up.

Erin: Harry, check your DMs. I sent you a video link. I think you should see it ;) x

A small smile creeps onto my lips as I start to wonder what it could be. I open up my twitter app and check my DMs until I see Erin’s and press on the link which makes it open my youtube app.

I take my earphones out of my pocket and plug them as the video starts to play.

It starts off with pictures of the boys and I taking pictures with fans then it transitions to a video of a girl who looked strangely familiar.

“So I was able to meet Harry at his hotel one time with my friend and we decided to make this video for him and the boys, to show them how much they mean to us,” the girl says and I finally place her. She was that girl I met right after I kissed Erin. She was the one I questioned on what the value of One Direction was.

The video goes on with messages from fans, telling about their stories and to be honest I was shocked. I never knew our band had this effect on people.

People talked about how they were bullied everyday but they were able to pull through because Liam did and treated everyone with kindness. They talked about how they have learned to be more comfortable with who they are because Niall and Louis did the same and everyone loved them-they said that they thought them how to be comfortable for who they are and learn to appreciate the people who liked them for them. They talked about how they were able to conquer their fears and learn to face challenges because of Zayn. And from me? They learned not to care about what others said and just be yourself. Apparently I taught them to be strong despite all the hate, all the hardships. And all in all, all of us, all the boys, taught them to reach for their dreams.

It was strange; I never thought I’d have this effect on people. I never thought I could change a person’s life so much. And right now, just after we finished a concert and the thrill of the stage was still coursing through my veins, I saw the true value of my job, my dream. I, well my past self, must have worked so hard for this. It was too good to be true, a price must have been set and this price I paid, the effort I gave became the inspiration of so many. It was mind blowing.

Harry: Thanks for the video .x

Erin: Thought you should see what I meant that day. Your life is too precious to risk. You worked too hard for it :)

Harry: I get that now so thank you. And thanks for letting me in last night. It meant a lot for you to trust me :)

Erin: Well I needed you.

Harry: Does that mean I could take you out to a proper date?? ;) .xx

Erin: Too far, Harold. Haha X)

Harry: Could you maybe consider it then? A chance?

Erin: Okay.

Harry: You will??

Erin: Yes xx

‘Yes’. Who knew that word could mean the world to me.

***Erin’s point of view***

“Who are you texting Erin?” one of the fans I was just talking to, Becky, asks and my eyes shoot up from my phone and quickly stow it away, my heart racing as I still felt a bit giddy from my conversation with Harry.
