Chapter 21-Sly
***Erin’s point of view***
I hesitate at first, unsure of what to tell Louis, unsure of what to do with the situation really. But I needed someone to help and I knew Louis could do that. He is after all, Harry’s best friend. If anyone knew the slightest thing about this whole trauma fiasco it would be Louis.
So I tell him everything. I tell him everything that Doctor Anderson told me. I tell him how Harry’s hit on the head shouldn’t have caused such a problem unlike usual amnesia cases but it did, all because of the trauma, something he was trying to protect himself from, something he wanted so bad to forget.
As I tell Louis everything he just listens, not asking questions at all. And when I finally finish which is basically just a few minutes later, he remains silent and I let him process it all for a bit.
“This is a lot to take in,” Louis mumbles, rubbing his fingers on his chin, his eyes on the floor.
“It is.” Heck, it’s been weeks since I was told about it and I still didn’t have a clue as to what I should do.
“Look, I have to get going now and this is really a lot to take in but I’ll think about it, yeah?” he says, standing up and rubbing his hands against his sides as if to wipe of the sweat from his hands.
“Yeah,” I reply with a smile. “Hold on, I’ll just put on my shoes and get my bag then we can get going.”
“Going?”
“I’m coming with you guys. Your vocal coach can’t be left behind for a live show,” I explain and he arcs an eyebrow at me.
“I don’t think you should come with us. After what happened last night, Harry will probably wring my neck if he sees I let you out the room,” he tells me and I roll my eyes, waving my hand to the side, brushing off his words.
“Harry Shmarry. I’ll deal with him,” I reply, nodding my head and giving Louis a thumbs up with a serious face. He chuckles as I turn around to grab my brown oxfords and slip then on as well as a few bangles set on the coffee table. I take a small, brown, leather satchel from my suitcase and stuff my iPhone, wallet, and other essentials in. I face Louis again and we head out.
“What are doing outside your room?” Harry asks just like a reprimanding mother as soon as Louis and I approach the rest of the group waiting in the lobby.
“Told you,” Louis whispers in my ear but my eyes are set on the person beside Liam.
“What is she doing here?” I ask, nudging my head to the person, my features guarded.
“Don’t change the subject, Erin,” Harry drones on in a lecturing tone then turns to Liam, suddenly distracted. “Yeah, Liam, why is she here?”
“Who is she?” Niall speaks up, munching on some peanuts, probably stolen from Paul’s stack. Again.
“Erin knows her from school,” Zayn answers.
“Ah.” Niall nods. Strangely, the Irish boy hasn’t said anything to me since I came down and avoided to meet my gaze.
“The name’s Blair,” she says to Niall and he tips his hat towards her in acknowledgement.
“I was going for a walk with Danielle then she came up to us and said she knew you. She even talked about your parent’s work and how you were friends in your school and all so I believed her. Why…is she not your friend?” Liam asks, looking at Blair unsurely.
“She…,” I start but trail off. What was I supposed to say? I could surely say Queen Bitch but there was something about the way she was looking at me just as always.
