Chapter 4-Strange

***Erin’s point of view***

The tour bus was humungous. At the front was where the driver stayed and whoever felt like sitting beside the driver then there was a large part for the common area or whatever you’d call it. A table to the right side in between chairs as the dining area, and a couch with a T.V. attached to the back of the wall that separated the driver’s space to the common area. On the other side are counter tops then a fridge then there was the door to the bathroom with a closet beside it for extra clothes and random stuff that needed to be stored. At the end of the big bus were the bunk beads. All the boys stayed in one tour bus and during the night I was to stay in the other tour bus with the grooming and styling crew-meaning I got to stay with Lou Teasdale and Baby Lux-but during the day I was to stay with the boys, where Harry was so I could fill him in on stuff and that’s where I was at the moment. Sitting on the couch awkwardly as the boys roamed around. Louis was on his bunk bed, calling Eleanor, Liam was on the internet, probably on twitter-I was itching to go online on my account and spam him because yes, they still don’t know my twitter account, Zayn and Niall were right in front of me, digging for something to eat in the fridge which I assumed was always on full stock otherwise Niall would grow restless on the road and stuff, and Harry was right beside me, just as awkward as I felt.

“So what do I usually do when we’re on the road?” Harry turns to me.

“Usually asleep. The live performances really wear you out. That or watching T.V. or talking to the boys and stuff,” I answer. Just before we had left, the boys had told me what Harry did on the tour bus. Where he slept, what he ate and what he did.

“C’mon you two, we’ve got the popcorn ready,” Niall says, sliding in front of the table with a bowl of popcorn in his hands.

“Popcorn?” I ask, turning to face them as Zayn slides in beside Niall, carrying two other bowls of popcorn.

“Yeah, we’re going to watch the full X Factor where we were in,” Zayn says. “Get your laptop and that hard drive of yours, Erin.”

“Uh…okay, sure,” I say and stand up. I go over to the closet and open my laptop bag and take out my laptop and hard drive. I had brought it along to go over the X factor days with Harry and let him watch the tons of videos I had of him and the boys.

I walk back to the table, Harry already sitting across Niall and I sit beside him, putting my mac and hard drive down.

“Why the three bowls of popcorn though?” I ask, turning my mac on and plugging in my hard drive. It still felt completely alien to me hanging out with the boys. It was like I was constantly dying inside and most of the time my hands were trembling from the feeling of being in their presence.

“Niall always has his own bowl. Try to steal from him and he’ll growl, if you persist, he’ll bite,” Zayn answers and I laugh.

“I remember when I think it was Lou and Liam trying to get Niall’s food and he growled! The video was quite blurry but I think that’s what was happening,” I return and open up the folder of the X Factor.

“You really know a lot, Christ, it’s kind of creepy in a flattering way,” Niall comments lightly, smiling at me and I feel my whole body tense up but melt at the same time. Holy crap, there went my ovaries again.

“S-so…let’s start,” I change the topic and begin the first video.

***Harry’s point of view***

These days I remain quiet quite a lot. There’s not much to say when you don’t know anything, really. Usually they all did the talking for me. Telling me this and that, about my schedule and stuff. The only time I could really talk to someone was when I was with Erin…alone. When we were with someone else they’d go on and tell me about the pop star life than seemed a lot more hectic than I could have imagined. So being alone with Erin were basically the highlights of my days. The other boys, who I now know as Louis, the one that was supposed to be my best friend, Zayn, the mysterious and vain one, Niall the guy who kept laughing, ate just about anything and kept farting, and Liam, the sensible one with a dork-ish side, usually kept their distance from me. I guess they haven’t adjusted yet. But Liam was more approachable than the others. He would reach out from time to time, throw in a ‘how are you’ here and there. Zayn and Niall were okay; they kept their distance and were a bit off when I talked to them. Louis was the hardest, always away from me.
