13. "If you could teach everyone in the world one concept, what concept would have the biggest positive impact on humanity?"
Ibis: Personally, I think that the thing that would have the biggest impact on humanity would be the concept of self dependence. Now, I say this because if you can't count and rely on yourself, how are you going to be able to live? I mean, eventually there will come a time when you must rely on yourself and if you can't learn that then you will be figuratively screwed. And I feel that at times like this, in this day and age with so much welfare and assistance, people have honestly forgotten what self dependence is. In so many ways we are dependent on others, even fully grown and capable adults are dependent on government systems, simply because they don't want to do anything on their own or maybe they just don't know how to.
Either way, I think that the world would be full of incompetent idiots if they didn't know what self dependence was.
Risu: I would have to say integrity. We don't need everyone in the world to be a genius, if they were we wouldn't have any major scientific or technological breakthroughs. Everyone would think they can fix every problem themselves so there would be little sharing of ideas.
If everyone had a set of moral standards they abided by we would have reduced crime rate which would result in less people losing their means to live. This results in less people turning to a life of crime. It's a cycle that can be easily broken.
Large corporations would be more mindful of displacing people by buying their land and tearing everything down.
There would be little to no bullying, resulting in less people developing mental disorders. Again, less people would turn to a life of crime making the world a safer place.
People would be more giving, helping out those in need. This would greatly reduce the number of people without homes.
We wouldn't have to worry about being cheated out of money causing us to spend more money and increase the wealth of everyone.
Everyone has a different set of morals, some people are content to digress from them. The more people with strong ethics the better off this world will be.
