A poem, from Kylo Ren, to Luke.
So tell me what you think
I know you said I'm wrong
that everything I've done
has left me in the Dark.
But you won't show me how
to break the Chains in which I'm bound
to help me start again
to help me find a friend.
You put your Faith in me,
thought I would set you free,
thought everything I was
would rise up from the dust.
Then suddenly
so clear
so strange
you found the pain and fear and rage
that lived in side of me
just waiting to break free.
And turned your back
away from me,
you blamed me, framed me,
betrayed me.
I wanted only to be free
from the hurt inside of me.
So lonely and so lost, confused,
you left me only feeling used.
I always hoped that you would see
the Shame inside of me.
Instead you pushed me to the ground,
you left me hurt and tied and bound.
Betrayed,
Afraid,
I turned right back on you.
I crushed your hopes and dreams,
but only in exchange
for not believing me,
for putting Trust in me.
Now it's too late,
my mind is made,
now that I've seen
through your Charade.
How dare you say that it's my Fault?
When if you look, you know it's true,
that if you tried, that if you knew,
I'd be the one to forsake you.
Trust goes both ways,
or so I thought.
If only you had seen
there was still Light in me.
