Chapter 29

Stephanie's P.O.V

       I wake up glancing at my notebook. I fell asleep on my desk, classic me. I grab one of my iced coffees and head to the hospital. I think they were going to discharge Kate this morning, well afternoon. It's 1 o'clock.

The drive was hectic, full of traffic for a Thursday. I arrive to see everyone waiting in the room. "Is she leaving today?" I ask Louis. Harry walks by me and puts his arm around me, "Yeah she's changing into the clothes you brought her." I hear him say.

I see Kate enter the room from the bathroom. I smile and hug her gently. "God, you're okay!" I say with a smile. "I'm so happy all of this is over." She responded.

We check her out and head to lunch. A shabby pizza place Kate was talking about, was what NIall decided to go to. I sit next to Kate and the boys start talking. "I'm really glad you're okay. I mean we have a couple months together before we go separate ways, and I want to make the best of it." I say.

 This trip was suppose to be about us. The entire time it was wrapped around me and Harry, and it took Kate getting hurt for me to realize that  I need to lay off  Harry.

"It's okay Stephanie.I'm happy it's all over too. I think us spending time like originally planed sounds like a great idea." Kate said.

She looks over at Louis. "Steph, some one called Louis last night. He seemed worried." KAte said. She looks down and plays with her rings.

"Let it slide. I bet it's like money or band things. Don't worry." I comfort.  She gives me a small smile and the food arrives.

"So tell me Stephanie why did you want to be a doctor?" Zayn asks. I'm at mid chew when Kate answers for me. "She loves helping people. That sums up the whole decision why she wanted to be one. " She smiles.

The boys give an accepting nod and down into the pizza. "Also because she's a huge nerd." She added. All the boys laugh, making me blush. "Yeah, I've seen it. She'd be studying 3 months before school starts." Harry added.

"Falls asleep on her desk with millions of flash cards, I'll tell you."  Louis added. "Please Stephanie, you'll do great in London." Kate nudged me.

"So anyways, before you all start making fun of me again. Boys, are you planning to come and visit us ?" I ask.

"I know Harry will." Louis snapped with a smirk.  Harry looks down and laughs. "I mean all of you. To both of us, idiot." I laugh. 

"We'll try to as much as we can." Liam responses. Kate and I smile with satisfaction. "Promise to come down to Texas to see me?" Kate asked me. "As long as you come to London." I laugh.

We engage in different conversations.  Truth is, laughing in this Shabby restaurant was one of the best days Kate and I spent together.

"So what are we going to do now?" I ask. I'ts 6, and no one has anywhere they have to be. " Well we can all just go to our apartment and just chill." Liam suggested.

"Or we can go do something." I say, fishing for another idea.

"There's a fair!" Harry smiled. We all look at him. "See the rides out there? Let's go!" He nudged us.  We all agree and Kate and I follow the boys car.

We finally arrive and the boys pay for us. Aw, how nice. "Well what first?" I say. Niall gets drawn to the funnel cake station. We laugh and decide to go on a couple rides.

"Stupid, why are you taking a selfie on the ride? We're about to go down!" Zayn laughed at me. "I'm making memories! Smile!" I laugh. The ride goes down and spins really fast. I almost lost grip of my phone.
