The end of class was approaching, everyone around me started putting their things away. "Class dismissed," Professor Richards said, locking eyes with me as he said it. His lifeless stare sent shivers down my spine, not in a good way. I hurriedly put my things away and said goodbye to Beau.
"Hey," He grabbed my arm lightly, causing me to turn around. "Nice meeting you, I hope we can get to know each other."
I nodded, "I'd like that." I couldn't help but look at his lips as he licked the bottom one. My stomach lurched, reminding me of Tony who I was going to see very soon. "See you around?" I gulped. He nodded and I walked down the stairs, wanting to get to the coffee shop and tell Becca everything.
But a voice stopped me, "Ms. O'Bryan." I whipped my head to the left, Walter standing there gesturing me to come closer.
Against my better judgement I went over there, "Do you need something Professor Rich-Uh Walter?" I stumbled nervously.
"If you need any help before class next Monday just shoot me an email and I'll help you get caught up." There was something devious and strange about him. But I nodded and thanked him anyways. "Also, I apologize for not being here last Monday and Wednesday, I would have liked to speak to you sooner."
                              "It's fine," I shrugged.
"Alright, good." He cleared his throat and I said goodbye before practically running out of the room.
Something about him seriously freaks me out and I don't know what!
I walked to the coffee shop at a fast pace, feeling on edge, Professor Richards eyes were flashing in my mind as I tried to decipher the emotion in them. When the coffee shop was in sight, I looked around for Becca and saw her sitting at a table under an umbrella, munching on what I could only assume was a pastry of some sort.
"Hey Becca," I plopped down in the seat across from her.
Her body jumped up and she whipped her head up, putting her hand over her chest, "You scared the shit out of me!"
"Sorry," I giggled as I reached across the table and ripped off a piece of the unknown flavor of pastry in front of her.
"Get your own," she teased, pulling it closer towards her. I pouted and leaned back, munching on the strawberry, wait no, blueberry...pastry? "Just kidding Lill," She ripped off another chunk and handed it to me. "How was class?"
Her question reminded me of Beau, "Oh I met this really cute guy Becca, he's soooo boy-next-door."
Becca stopped chewing and clapped her hands together, "Oooooo what's his name!?"
"Beau," I took a bite of the pastry. "He's got the prettiest eyes," I tell her.
"Girl, chew with your mouth closed," She shook her head playfully. "But that's a hot name."
"I know right!" I sighed, leaning toward on my elbows, resting my head in my hands. "I caught him staring at me a few times too," I smiled.
"Wait, what about Professor Phillips?" She lowered her tone.
"He told me I could see other people," I shrugged, even though it hurt me to think about, I pushed those thoughts away and focused on myself. "But that's not even all that happened today."
"Damn, what else?" Becca chewed on her bottom lip anxiously, something I noticed that she did a lot when she was stressed. I mentally noted to ask her about what's bothering her tonight.
"I ran into Eric this morning."
"Oh hell no," Her whole demeanor changed, and she looked like she was ready to fucking fight a bitch.
