hey guys, everyone please check out the a.n at the end of the story, please and thanks!

We got a B- on our project, which was acceptable for me. Luke on the other hand threw a bit of a fit for about 15 minutes until I had to pull him together. We were now sitting on the couch watching old Friends re-runs; Holden was sitting awkwardly on the chair next to us.

“Holden, when’s mom getting back from book club?” I asked as I snuggled into Luke’s chest.

“I don’t know, in like an hour and a half,” he said, stuffing a hand of potato chips into his mouth.

“OK, Luke do you think you could maybe leave in like an hour?” I asked, turning to him.

“What, do you not want your mom to see me or something?” he asked, furrowing his eyebrows.

“It’s not like that, she’s just really judgey and I don’t want her to scare you away,” I said quietly.

“It’s fine, I get it,” he said, kissing me on the forehead.

“So, I’m going to be gone for most of winter break,” I said into the phone.

“How long is most?” Luke asked.

“I’ll be gone until New Years Eve,” I replied.

“That’s a long time for you to be gone, how will I even manage to go on?” he whined into the phone.

“You lived without me for like three years Luke you can handle two weeks,” I laughed.

“To be honest I can’t even manage seven hours,” he giggled.

“Wait what?” I whispered.

“Come to your back door,” he said quietly.

“All right weirdo,” I said, slowly opening my bedroom door and tiptoeing down the stairs.

I kept my phone to my ear as I unlocked the back door, pulling it open. Luke was leaning in the doorframe, smirking at me.

I laughed at him, putting down my phone.

“I just can’t keep you away,” I giggled.

“Pretty much,” he said, leaning in and kissing me.

I wrapped my arms around his neck as he pulled me closer. I pulled away from him and smiled.

“You do realize that we have school in like seven hours?” I whispered.

“Its only the college day, it doesn’t even matter,” he said, leaning in again.

“Wait what day is it?” I asked, pulling away a little bit.

“College day? You know, when all of the colleges come and like set up booths and give talks and stuff. It’s been on the announcements for weeks, do you just not pay attention to anything?” he said, chuckling to him self.

“I just forgot…” I said.

I arrived at school hand in hand with Luke. He was acting like a giddy six-year-old girl; he was bouncing up and down and couldn’t stop smiling.

We walked to the gym where the booths were set up and he ran straight to the Stanford booth. He dragged me behind him as he practically sprinted over.

I stood awkwardly behind Luke as he and the woman from Stanford were chatting about the school. He was so excited; he just had seemingly hundreds of questions for her.
