I opened my eyes to see the sun shining, when had time passed like that? I sat up and saw Jaune and Pyrrha still sleeping. I looked about and very few people were up. I sighed as I felt sluggish, it was a weird feeling. I went to wash up and soon changed into my outfit. I walked back to my sleeping bag to see Pyrrha up but Jaune still sleeping.

"Morning." I greeted as I kept my sleeping bag.

"Good morning Ray." Pyrrha replied. She seemed so... strange for a human.

"Jaune. Get up." I looked to the sleeping boy who covered his head. I sighed and grabbed my sleeping bag before throwing it at his head, making him sit up in shock.

"I'm awake!" He shouted.

"Good. Get ready. We have our initiation today." I told him as he rushed off to get ready. I said farewell to Pyrrha as I went to my locker and kept everything before pulling out my blade. I traced my finger along the edge before I closed the locker and walked along as Jaune suddenly started panicking.

"I cant believe I put my locker 646!" Jaune shouted.

"Wasnt it locker 636?" I shouted to him and there was silence before he screamed out.

"Where is it?!" He yelled, "Ray come help me!"

"Coming." I stated as I kept my blade by my side before jogging over until Pyrrha suddenly called me over.

"I was actually thinking of having Ray on my team Weiss." She stated and I tilted my head.

"Ah... Right. I forgot we had teams." I muttered, "Nonetheless we shall see where everyone falls in. Good luck you two."

"Ray!!!" Jaune yelled and I turned back with a sigh.

"Coming." I said as I continued on my way to help Jaune before we finally found his stuff. We started walking when he decided to flirt with Weiss and I ended up saying hello to Ruby who was nearby.

"Oh Ray! You haven't met Yang yet right?" Ruby said excitedly.

"We haven't. Pleasure meeting you, Yang." I greeted.

"Oooh he's cute." Yang said as Ruby started panicking slightly.

"Yang..!"

"I appreciate the compliment." I said with a closed eyed smile, "Good luck wih the test today."

"Likewise hot stuff." Yang said and I heard a crash to see Jaune pinned to the locker with a spear.

"Im sorry!" Pyrrha stated as she and Weiss went off first.

"Bad luck again huh?" I asked him as I helped him up, "Come on. Its starting soon."

"Where did I go wrong..." He whined.

"Snow angel probably took it a bit too far." Yang mentioned.

"All first year students report to Beacon Cliff immediately. Again, all first year students report to Beacon Cliff immediately." I heard the announcement say as I dragged Jaune along as we went to Beacon Cliff.

When we arrived, I stood on the launch pads as we faced Ozpin.

"For years you have trained to become warriors and today your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest." Ozpin stated.

"Now, I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of teams." Professor Goodwitch said, "Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each of you will be given teammates... Today. With the exception of one person."

"These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon. So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well." Ozpin informed us, "That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years."

"Ah... I probably wont have a partner." I whispered to myself as Ozpin continued.

"After you've partner up, make your way to the northern end of the forest." Ozpin told us, "You will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path, or you will die."

I heard Jaune nervously chuckle as I sighed at his dramatic words before Ozpin continued, "You will be monitored and graded for the duration of your initiation. But our instructors will not intervene. You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics. Each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff. We will regard that item, as well as your standing, and grade you appropriately. Are there any questions?"

I sighed as Jaune tried to speak out but Ozpin ignored him.

"Good! Now take your positions."

I spread my legs as I pulled out my blade before getting in a stance.

"Good luck Ray." Pyrrha said.

"You too." I replied as I was shot forward. I manuvered myself in the air to get the longest flight time possible before I focused on landing.

"Duck!" I heard Pyrrha yell as I leaned back to see a spear fly infront of me before I used my blade to slow myself down and managed a landing. I dusted myself off as I heard Pyrrha shout out an apology before I ran ahead.

"Northen part of the forest... Huh." I muttered to myself as I kept a note on that. I kept pace as I made my way to the location and I heard Weiss scream out from my left. I stumbled to a stop and looked over before frowning and running over to her instead.

When I arrived I saw her surrounded by Beowolves. She was knocked back and I sighed as I jumped out and attacked the closest one to me, taking it down instantly.

"You!" Weiss started but I interrupted her.

"Focus first. Yell later." I stated as I moved to the next one beside me.

She straightened her posture as I kept the Beowolves at bay. When she charged out to attack Ruby accidentally appeared, causing Weiss to forcefully attack elsewhere. Which was unfortunately me. I jumped back and blocked a strike by a Beowolf as Weiss yelled at Ruby.

"You two run. I'll be leaving shortly as well." I shouted out to them as I ducked under the Beowolf and striked at its exposed belly, cleanly cutting it in half. I saw Weiss and Ruby run as I too ran off soon enough.

"Back onto the track." I muttered as I went to get the relic.
