Professor Goodwitch, I guess I should call her, showed me around the entire day and soon left me to my room and I didnt have to share it with anyone or so she says. I spent the night reading what little books were here. When morning came, I didnt have to worry about where to meet up with Ozpin. He found me.
"Were you up all night?" He asked as I nodded, "Do you not feel... tired?"
"Tired? Is that something I should feel?" I questioned as I closed the book, "I'm not sure I quite follow on this. "
"Nonetheless, shall we begin?" Ozpin asked as I nodded. He led me to a large room before I noticed Professor Goodwitch here.
"I won't go easy on you." She said coldly.
"Am I... Facing her?" I questioned as she pointed her riding crop at me and I saw the ground around me glow. I felt the ground shake as I dropped to my knees to keep balance.
"You will be sparring with Ms Glynda Goodwitch here. After this we will see where you stand and amend the mistakes." Ozpin started as I saw the floating debris from the broken ground. Telekinesis... Was it?
I jumped back as it impaled the ground I was once at. I landed gracefully as I found myself in a stance unknown to me. My hands were in front and ready to block or attack while my legs were apart to keep balance.
"At least you know some basics." Professor Goodwitch stated as I saw more of those rocks. Without thinking, I rushed forward as she attacked. I managed to dodge each shrapnel as she kept a serious expression and was soon close enough to attack when she pointed her crop at me and I felt a force push me back. I twisted my body midair so that i landed before sliding slightly and keeping my eyes on her.
I didn't understand what I was doing, it just felt right... I paused for a moment to think of what exactly was I doing until I saw her relentless attacks again. I picked up my pace as I ran to the side, vaulting and sliding under the rocks that were held together with telekinesis.
How do I beat her..?
I let my mind wander as I kept moving but I failed to realize the trap she had set me in. I ran into a dead end and looked abot to see she had made a small cage around me.
"You let your mind wander too much." She told me as I kept silent.
Speed... If I can catch her off guard...
I looked towards her and surged forward, effectively catching her off guard when I broke through the wall between us. I felt my arm twitching and looked over to see that it had turned into a strange claw. I froze as I stopped myself, the claws inches from her throat. I saw the strange aura coming from her as I felt a small stinging sensation on my cheek. I peaked over to see she too had been inches away from killing me.
"Well done. You aren't that bad at combat." Ozpin stated as I stepped back carefully. She had surrounded me with all the sharp ends of her telekinesis weapons she had made. One wrong move and I would not have only killed her, but seriously wounded myself. Then again... That aura should have stopped me. I think...
I looked to my arm curiously as the claw faded and soon it turned back to a human hand.
Can I mimic it?
I hummed as I tried to force out an aura as I saw the faint black lines.
"Remarkable..." I heard Ozpin say in awe as the black lines suddenly sparked and disappeared.
"Was that an... Aura?" Professor Goodwitch said.
"I think we may have an interesting case on our hands." Ozpin stated as I heard the bell, "It seems like we ended our session today. You'll be having this session for around a week until the exams start."
"Alright." I replied.
"You will also have lessons with the other teachers of Beacon so be on your best behaviour." Ozpin told me as he left, "Oh, and one more thing."
I looked to him as he turned back slightly.
"You are human here. Please try to seem that way." He told me and left as Professor Goodwitch fixed the room and left with him.
"I am human... Huh." I muttered as I watched the door close and keep me in this room, "Will that ever be the case?"
I rubbed my cheek where the stinging was and I saw my hand slightly stained black, I felt the wound but there was nothing there.
I closed my eyes for a bit before letting out a sigh and leaving the room. I wonder how everything will play out?
"Give more ferocity!"
"I can't..!"
"You aren't trying."
"I am..!"
"If you can't win this. Then just die."
