As I went to class the next day, I can't help but watch as Jaune was brutally beaten in a practice match. I saw Professor Goodwitch eyeing me as she still didnt fully trust me but I focused on the match. Jaune wasnt like the rest... Something was different. As if he never had any experience in combat before.

The match ended when Jaune's aura went into the red. Professor Goodwitch told us about the upcoming event but I knew I couldn't join it if I wanted to. Not with how I am. The bell soon rang as I sighed and got up to get food. I noticed a faunus girl sitting along and I told the others to go ahead as I went to her.

"Hey." I greeted and she jumped, "May I sit here?"

"Oh... Yes, sure..." She said uncertainly.

"Why are you alone?" I asked curiously as I picked at my food.

"Well... Im a faunus..." She stated, "Don't you see the ears?"

"That doesn't make you an outcast." I spoke as she looked to me, "There are people here who dont mind having you around. Me being one of them. Im sure everyone isn't as bad as they seem."

"Hey look at that!"

"You were saying..?" She asked as four guys suddenly came over.

"Well some are more mature." I stated.

"A little bitty rabbit." One mocked as she looked down at her food.

"Said a bald monkey. Scram." I retorted as I saw she finished her food, "Let's go. We dont have to deal with idiots."

"O-Okay." She stated as one of them grabbed her ear and pulled. In a second, my blade was drawn and at his neck.

"Release her." I said calmly as he eyed the blade before doing as told. The cafeteria turned silently as I kept my weapon. I turned to the girl and smiled before saying, "Now then. Shall we go?"

She nodded, slightly in awe. I grabbed my tray as we dumped our food, I followed her until we were out of the cafeteria before I peaked back.

"I dont think they will bother you out here." I stated as she turned to me.

"Why would you help me..?" She asked as I looked to her, "You'll be bullied now too, you know?"

"So?" I asked and she looked at me surprised.

"I mean he's going to pick on you like he picked on me!" She said.

"Does it matter? I can handle afew monkeys like him and his gang easily." I stated and saw two people coming towards us.

"Hey Velvet! Already done eating?" The girl ask as I bowed slightly to the girl.

"I heard this was a sign of respect in some culture." I stated with a small smile, "Take care, Velvet."

I turned to leave for my practice class with Ozpin. I heard Velvet try to call out to me but I already turned the corner. I sighed as I didnt really get to eat much, I enjoyed the food somewhat. It had a certain flavor to it that I cant pin point.

I sighed once again as I went up to Ozpin's office.

"Ah. You've arrived. We'll be doing basic training for now." He told me as I entered and I nodded. I had been training with Ozpin now since I had been getting too close to almost killing Professor Goodwitch, and her to me.

Ozpin was currently training me on restraint. He was telling me how I have to judge my power and abilities to hold back when I have to.

When lessons were done, I was excused to go back to my room. As I entered my room, I focused back onto my books. This time the History of Man. I was curious on their feats, their legacy.

It almost had slipped my mind about the trip to Forever Fall in a few days. I sighed as I lowered the book.

I wonder what its like to be human? These stories, these feats, their legacy. They are all so enticing. I looked to the sky to see the moon rising before peaking over at a book Blake had passed me. I decided to read on that instead. As the sun rised, I had finished the book. She has... Quite the imagination for these.

Days passed and soon the day of the trip arrived.

I got ready for the school day before I met up with Ruby and others but Jaune seemed to be missing, he seems to be missing a lot. I walked along Blake as I talked about the book she had passed me. I mention how she had quite the imagination for it and she blushed slightly before saying she liked how the story progressed more than the intimacy.

I chuckled slightly from that as we were told what to do.

We had to get red sap for Professor Peaches which seemed easy. I followed the others to a part of the forest before we started collecting sap.

"Hey Pyrrha." I started as I was collected the sap from the tree besides her, "What happened to Jaune?"

"He's been hanging out with Cardin." She told me.

"Who?" I questioned.

"The boy who you pointed a sword at his neck." She stated and I remembered him somewhat.

"Ah. The bully. I wonder why." I stated as I got a jar full of red sap, "What do you think these taste like?"

"Probably sweet." Pyrrha stated as I dipped a finger in the sap and took a small taste.

"Oh. Not probably sweet. Its very sweet. Like... Over the top kind of sweet." I stated as I wasnt really fond of the sweetness, "Im not really fond it being so sweet..."

"It cant be that bad." Pyrrha said thoughtfully as I dipped another finger in and pointed it to her.

"Try it and find out." I said as she hesitantly took a lick.

"Oh. You're right. It is rather overbearing." She admitted.

"See?" I said before I saw the group of boys suddenly run our way before tripping. They mentioned something about Cardin and a big Ursa.

"That can't be good." I muttered as I closed the jar, "We should go check it out."

"I agree." Pyrrha stated as Ruby told Yang and Blake to get Professor Goodwitch.

When we came to the spot, i saw Jaune attacking a large Ursa while Cardin was on the ground. I noticed the sap on his chest and hummed.

"We should help him!" Ruby said, moving forward but Pyrrha stopped her.

"It is his battle." Pyrrha said and I watched from the sidelines. Jaune was continuously charging and attacking without any worry for defence. It was reckless. I saw the Ursa about to go for a strong hit when Pyrrha raised her hand while Jaune shield lifted up more and block the strike by the Ursa before Jaune managed to decapitate the beast.

I was slghtly impressed at this. Was this Pyrrha's... Semblance?

"What-" Ruby started.

"Well..." Pyrrha started, "Ruby has her speed. Weiss has her glyphs. I'm not so certain on what Ray has but I have polarity."

"You can control poles..." Ruby started.

"No you dunce!" Weiss started.

"She has magnetism." I stated.

"Magnets are cool too." Ruby continued as Pyrrha turned to leave, "What is your Semblance Ray?"

"I don't know." I replied as I turned to leave as well.

"That's coo- Hey wait! What do you mean you dont know?!" Ruby asked as she soon was by my side.

"I don't know. I don't think I have ever seen my Semblance before." I admitted, "I honestly don't think I have one either."

"That's not true! Everyone can have a semblance!" Ruby said cheerfully, "We just have to find yours!"

"Maybe next time."
