After seeing Vale and noticing how not much things had been put up, I decided to head back and wait for a few days to pass before checking again. I said goodbye to Team CFVY and went back on my own to Beacon. I sighed as I was back in my room. I looked out the window to see it was night, the moon high above in the sky. Shattered but still beautiful. I opened my window and scaled down the side of the building before heading to the fountain. I sighed in peace before I heard footsteps. I turned to see Blake out of breath. She seemed sad.
"What's wrong?" I asked and she jumped. Her eyes wide as she looked to me.
"N-Nothing." She stated and I tilted my head slightly to her.
"I'm here to listen if you ever need me." I stated as I looked to the moon, "I won't turn away from a friend in need."
There was a silence between us until she stood beside me and stared up as well.
"You don't hate the Faunus... Do you?" She asked and I shook my head.
"I am friends with Velvet, a rabbit faunus." I stated and she looked to the water before hesitantly pulling out he ribbon to reveal two cat ears.
"I'm a faunus..." She muttered.
"And?" I questioned.
"Doesn't it... I dont know, make you uneasy?" She asked.
"You're my friend. I dont care if you aren't fully human. You have a soul." I stated and stared into the water, "You have never given me a reason to hate you."
"Some people... They don't like the faunus. Like Cardin. Weiss too... Speaking of which... Are you a... Faunus too?" She asked.
"I wish." I muttered as I touched the water to see the ripple, "I'll tell you a secret as you told me yours."
I turned to her with a small closed eyed smile, "I'm not even human."
"Not human? So are you a faunus?" She asked again.
"Not even that. I'm a Grimm." I told her as I looked to the moon, "I was taken in by Ozpin for my human like appearance. Trained by the man himself and the Professors before you even came to the school."
"You're a Grimm..?" She asked and I looked to her to see her wide eye in shock and disbelief.
"I am." I said sadly as I looked to the water with a sad smile, "So don't worry about you being a faunus. I don't care for that. You are human to me, thats all that matters."
I turned to head back to my room, "Good night Blake. Please try not to tell anyone what I am. I rather not have people attack me again."
I scaled the side of the building again before I entered my room and closed the windows. I sat on the bed with a sigh before laying down on it. I probably made a bad choice in doing this.
I frowned but nothing could be changed now. Whats done is done and I would just have to live with it. Hopefully. I spent the next few days in my room as I read books to occupy my time, Team RWBY had popped by to see if I had seen Blake as she apparently had gone missing.
I havent seen anyone in a while so I apologised and went back to my reading. I read about semblances from a book Ozpin gave me and I found one that I wanted to make my own. Day passed and soon enough I had finally left my room to go to the cafeteria after getting the hang of the semblance I wanted. I wanted to taste something after not eating in a while. As I sat down, I soon noticed the table being filled with familiar faces.
Blake, Weiss, Yang, Jaune, Ren, Nora and Pyrrha.
"Where's Ruby?" I asked as Yang was catching food in her mouth. She shrugged and gave a thumbs up to Nora who grinned.
"Hey... Ray." I heard Blake ask besides me and she gestured me to leaned closer, "Was... What you really said true?"
"I am indeed different. Yes." I answered. Soon Ruby came and landed a huge book infront of us. I let my mind wander as Weiss suddenly stood up to have pie thrown at her face.
"Ooh boy." I muttered. As chaos ensued. I took covered immediately and before I knew it we were having a full fledge war.
"Attack!!!!!" Ruby yelled as I noticed the large amount of food being thrown everywhere. I was of course unlucky enough to fight Yang. With two giant turkeys stuck to her hand, she charged at me.
"Great." I muttered and kicked up a baguette before ducking and kicking up grapes which she backed flipped away from. I charged forward to give a strike but she countered. I forced a fake aura on the food weapon I had to make it somewhat durable as it managed to block the blow Yang gave, I noticed the bread bending and I jumped back as it broke. I felt a chilling numbness at my feet to see Weiss had used her glyphs.
"Say cheese!" Yang yelled as she threw a whole roll of cheese at me. I raised my arms as it hit me and I crashed through the doors of the cafeteria.
"You. Are so going to get it." I stated as I kicked myself up, "Slightly peeved. But I am going to kick your asses."
I activated my newfound semblance and soon, two copies of me appeared by my side.
"I'll take Team RWBY." The one on my left said.
"Dibs on JNPR!!" The one on my right said.
"Let's dominate." I replied as the two rushed ahead. I noticed the two boys otside and chuckled slightly before saying, "Its going to be a bit hectic. Watch the food fight if you want but we arent going to be responsible if you get caught in it."
I heard an explosion inside and ran in to see chaos. Time for the fun to begin.
