A week had passed and I was soon sent on my way to join the newcomers for their entrance exam.

"Good luck, Ray." Ozpin told me as I nodded and left. In my one week here, I had learnt much about Remnant. The people, the Grimm. The peace even with all the White Fang activities. I had to leave early to head back to vale before taking the ship here, so I wouldn't seem out of place to anyone.

I slipped onto a ship back and explored a moment before getting onto the ship which would take me back to Beacon. I stood by the window as I observed Vale. Everything seemed so beautiful in comparison to that world I was in.

"E-Excuse me!" I heard someone say as I looked over before stepping back for him to throw up into the trash can besides me. I stepped back a bit more as I saw the vomit leaking out.

"Oh, Yang! Gross!! You have puke on your shoe!" I heard a high pitch voice shout as I looked over to see a fair-skinned young girl with silver eyes and black, neck-length, choppy hair that gradates to dark red at the tips.

She wears a long sleeved thick black blouse with a high collar and red trim on the sleeves, a black waist cincher with red lacing up the front, and a black skirt with red trim. She also wears a pair of thick black stockings and black combat boots with red laces, red trim around the top and red soles.

Besides her is a fair-skinned young girl with lilac eyes and bright golden hair worn loose that fades to pale gold at the tips with a cowlick sticking out at the top.

She wears a tan jacket that bares her lower stomach, with golden brown piping and short, puffy sleeves with black cuffs that feature two gold buttons.

She also wears a brown belt covered by a pleated brown piece of material reaching from hip to hip around the back of her waist, with an emblem emblazoned on the right-most pleat in gold. Underneath this is a longer, white, asymmetrical piece of material reaching to her knee on the right side, as well as a pair of black mini-shorts. She wears a pair of brown, knee-high boots and orange over-the-knee socks, with the right sock pushed down just below the knee. A lavender bandana is tied around her left knee. An orange infinity scarf and black fingerless gloves complete her outfit.

"Gross, gross, gross, gross." The blondie stated as he kept shaking her foot with the vomit on it. I ignored them as we soon landed. I stepped out and stretched from the flight before I calmly walked forward. My hand wandered to my waist as I felt the diamond coated sword that had been given as a gift by Ozpin. I heard an explosion and looked ahead to see the girl in red with a girl in white. Before I let my mind wander, I stepped forward.

"Hey, I said I was sorry Princess!" The girl in red said.

"Heiress. Actually." I said when I saw the logo but heard someone else said from besides me. I turn to the side to see a girl in black.

"Weiss Schnee. Heiress to the Schnee Dust Company, one of the largest producers of energy propellant in the world." I said first, after a small observation of the girl before me in white.

"Finally! Some recognition!" Weiss stated.

"The same company infamous for its controversial labor forces and questionable business partners." The girl in black stated right after me.

"Wha- How dare- The nerve of-!" Weiss started but couldnt finish as she took the bottle from the girl in black's hands and stormed off, "Ugh!"

"I promise I'll make it up to you!" The girl in red said as I walked off as the girl in black did the same.

"So what's your- Hey wait!" I heard the girl in red as as I saw her rush to my side, "What's you name?"

"Ray." I replied.

"Well, my name is Ruby! Nice to meet you Ray!" She said cheerfully.

"Nice to meet you too Ruby." I replied when the boy who threw up in the airship suddenly walked towards us.

"Hey." He greeted, "Im Jaune."

"Ruby."

"Ray."

He held a hand out to shake but Ruby suddenly realized who he was.

"Aren't you the guy who threw up on the ship..?" She questioned and I sighed as we ended up walking together.

"All I'm saying is that motion sickness is a much more common problem than people let on!" Jaune argued, trying to prove his point as I walked to clear my mind.

"Look, I'm sorry Vomit-boy was the first thing that came to mind." Ruby stated.

"Oh yeah? What if I called you Crater-face?" Jaune retorted as I sighed that this probably isn't going to be as peaceful as I had hoped it was.

"Hey that explosion was an accident!"

"Well the name's Jaune Arc! Short, sweet, rolls off the tongue. Ladies love it!"

"Are you failing to mention that by ladies you probably only meant your mother?" I asked, slightly peeved at the noise.

"Hey now thats not true! Maybe... I mean my mom always says that... Nevermind." Jaune stated.

"So..." Ruby stated as we kept walking, "I got this thing."

She pulled out a large red scythe and I saw the cartridge which was probably for ammunition.

"Woah! Is that a scythe?" Jaune asked slightly fearful.

"Looks like a gun as well." I stated as Ruby nodded excitedly. So she likes guns? Perhaps weapons in general.

"That's cool!" Jaune stated as she kept her weapon.

"So what do you two have?" Ruby asked innocently as Jaune reluctantly pulled out a simple sword.

"Oh- Uh... I got this sword." Jaune said as he pulled out his shield, "Yeah... I've got a shield too!"

"So what do they do?" Ruby asked as she felt the shield and Jaune dropped his shield by accident.

"Well... The shield gets smaller." Jaune stated as he kept his shield.

"Wouldn't it weigh the same?" I questioned and he chuckled nervously before agreeing with me.

"What about you Ray?" Ruby asked as I pulled out my blade.

"Just a simple blade." I stated, "Nothing high tech like your scythe unfortunately."

"Do you just fight like that?" Ruby asked curiously.

"Mainly, yes." I replied honestly, "It was a gift so I keep it with me at all times."

"Well, I'm kind of a dork when it comes to weapons." Ruby stated shyly, "I guess I did go a little overboard designing it..."

"Wait you made that?" Jaune asked in disbelief as I realized we had stopped moving.

"Of course! All students at Signal forge their own weapons. Didn't you make yours?" Ruby asked Jaune as he looked at his blade.

"It's a hand-me-down. My great-great-grandfather used it to fight in the war." Jaune stated.

"Sounds more like a family heirloom to me!" Ruby stated, "Well I like it! Not many people have an appreciation for the classics these days."

We kept walking again as we talked mindlessly about things.

"Hm. Hey where are we going?" Ruby asked.

"Oh. I don't know. I was following you." Jaune stated.

"I was following Ray." Ruby stated and I sighed.

"I was on a walk to clear my mind." I replied and looked to the sky, "It should be about time orientation started. I'll show you both to the auditorium."
