The Sacrifice (Rwby fanfiction)

I managed to run into an open area and I saw Yang with the girl in black. I stepped forward and walked to the ruins.

"Oh hey there!" Yang greeted as I nodded in reply. I walked to the relics and saw them as chess pieces. I picked a black pawn as I observed it.

"So... Ray! Have you met Blake yet?" Yang asked as I looked over to see her pointing to the girl in black.

"I believe we somehow worked together to diss Weiss." I stated as Blake nodded to me. I kept the chess piece into my small pouch before I turned to look at the two girls until I heard a scream.

"Jaune..?" I muttered.

"A girl's in trouble! Did you guys hear that?!" Yang yelled as I looked to Blake to see her staring at the sky. I looked up and saw a giant black bird.

"I... Have a bad feeling..." I stated as Yang looked up as well to see Ruby falling.

"Heads up..!!!" Ruby yelled until Jaune rammed straight into her.

"Did your sister fall from the sky?"

"I..." Yang started but was interrupted by a roar.

"Did... That girl ride in on an Ursa?" I questioned as I saw a girl giggling before she zoomed passed us to get a chess piece.

"I..."

"Did she just run all the way here with a DeathStalker on her tail?" Blake asked as she saw Pyrrha running away with a DeathStalker chasing her.

"I can't take it anymore!!" Yang screamed as her eyes turned red, "Can everyone chill out for two seconds before anything else happens?!"

I heard a screech and looked up as two seconds were about up.

"Um... Yang..?" Ruby started as she looked up.

"How could you leave me?!" Weiss yelled as she hung from the talon of a Nevermore.

"I told you to jump..." Ruby muttered.

"She's going to fall." I noted as eveyone who wasnt being chase or stuck in a tree gathered.

"She'll be fine." Ruby stated.

"She's falling."

Jaune tried to catch her but they both ended up falling, Weiss landing on Jaune's back.

I noticed Pyrrha being chased still until she was hit and landed infront of us.

"Great the gang's all here. Now we can die together!" Yang said.

"Not if I can help it!" Ruby stated and rushed out.

"Ruby wait!" Yang yelled as Ruby ran ahead, scythe drawn and at the ready.

"I should help her." I muttered and pulled out my blade before rushing forward. The Deathstalker used it pincers to hit Ruby aside.

"D-Do-don't worry! Totally fine!" Ruby yelled and turned back to face the DeathStalker which was right in her face.

"Move it!" I yelled as I ran passed her and attacked swiftly. The DeathStalker screeched as I jumped ontop its pincers and managed to make it on its back.

"Weiss! Get her out of there now!" I yelled as I stabbed my blade into the DeathStalkers back as Weiss did as I said. The Nevermore attacked the group as I saw the tail coming right for me, before I could do anthing it rammed straight into me and threw me to the side. I groaned as I landed and forced myself up.

"Ray!" I heard someone yell as I looked up to see the DeathStalker right above me, stinger at the ready to impale me.

"Really." I muttered as I rolled out the way and forced myself to my feet before running. The DeathStalker screeched and chased after me as I soon hid behind a tree to see the stinger impale the trunk of the tree, right next to my head.

I took this chance to move and jumped onto the DeathStalker's back, grabbing my blade before running off and to the others.

"Let's move." I stated and they all nodded as we ran to the ruins. We were about to run across the bridge when I heard a screech from below. I looked to the side and saw the Nevermore swoop in and destroyed the bridge as I saw the two snakes waiting at the pillar which held up the bridge.

"Get to the top! We aren't going to be able to run away so let's take them out!" I yelled as everyone nodded. we climbed up the debris of the falling bridge and soon made it, I was going to take care of the Kings as Jaune and Pyrrha along with Ren and Nora, or so I believe their names were, dealt with the DeathStalker.

Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang were left to deal with the Nevermore. I jumped onto the head of the King Taijitu, blade at the ready as it opened its mouth wide to swallow me whole but I managed to grab its fangs and keep its mouth open using my foot as well. I kept a grip on my blade as I stabbed it through from imthe top of its jaw all they way through its head.

"Did you really think you can escape..?"

This voice...

"I wont let my Natara go so easily."

I saw the other snake coil around the one that was trying to swallow me whole and before I knew it I was trapped. I scowled as I pulled my blade out and the snake limped. I had probably killed it when I stabbed my blade through anyways. I grabbed onto the pillar of the fallen bridge as the snake fell but the other kept tightening itself, slowly getting closer.

What to do... What to do...

I heard an explosion and saw a glimsp of light before I took the chance to break out. I was freefalling down when I saw the black ribbon and I grabbed on as I was soon swung straight at the Nevermore. I manuvered myself so that I could attacked and I landed right on the Nevermore, my blade doing almost no damage as I jumped off and landed on the broken piece of the bridge.

"Thanks Blake!" I yelled over to her as she nodded. The rest of the fight went smoothly somewhat, i managed to kill the other snake as Jaune had made a plan which killed the DeathStalker. Ruby had used her scythe's recoil and Weiss' glyphs to decapitate the Nevermore and somehow we all made it out without a scratch. I felt something dribbling down from my lips and I used the back of my hand to rub it and I saw the black liquid. I wiped it off as we headed back to the cliff for Ozpin to evaluate us.
