"Are you really okay Ray?" Jaune asked me worriedly as I nodded, "Are you sure? You got hit full force from a DeathStalker and didnt even use your aura!"

"Looky you, you know what an aura is!" I said and Jaune looked to his feet.

"Pyrrha helped me unlocked mine... Did you need to have yours unlocked?" Jaune asked as I shook my head.

"It's fine. Dont worry about me. Look, Ozpin is about to announce the teams." I said as Ozpin went on the stage. He announced the first few teams and their leaders before going to the last two.

"Jaune Arc. Lie Ren. Pyrrha Nikos. Nora Valkyrie. The four of you retrieved the white rook pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as... Team JNPR. Lead by Jaune Arc."

"And finally. Blake Belladona. Ruby Rose. Weiss Schnee and Yang Xiao Long. The four of you retrieved the white knight pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as... Team RWBY. Lead by Ruby rose."

"Looks like things are shaping up to be an interesting year." Ozpin ended as I clapped with a closed eyed smile. I had already been informed I was accepted as a solo student due to my... special problem. I hummed as I got ready for the first day. I dressed in the uniform they had given me and I checked the time before heading of to my first lesson which was Grimm studies. I chewed on a piece of bread that I had snagged from the cafeteria, not that I needed to eat either...

"Ray..!!!!" I heard Ruby yell and turned back slightly only for her to suddenly grab my arm and pull me along quickly, "We're going to be late for class!!!"

I noticed Ozpin and Professor Goodwitch watching from the side as we ended up running to our class just to arrive in time. I didnt notice the others who were panting behind me. I greeted Professor Port who nodded to me in return before I went to my usual seat at the back of the classroom.

"Monsters. Demons." Professor Port started, "Prowlers of the night. Yes, the creatures of grimm have many names. But I, merely refer to them as prey."

He gave a cheerful laugh as I noticed most of the students falling asleep to his class. Do humans find this boring?

Professor port awkwardly continued his lessons as I kept noting the facts of what he said. When he started recalling his past events I decided to pay my attention elsewhere.

"Well then! Anyone else? How about you Ray?" Professor Port asked as I started paying attention.

"Yes?" I said uncertaintly as he laughed heartily.

"Splendid! Come down here... And face your opponent." Professor Port said as I groaned. I should have said no. I got up from my seat nonetheless and went down as Weiss impatiently had went to change into her combat outfit while I simply pulled out a crystal and my sword formed on its on.

"Can I begin first?" I asked, wanting to sit back down already.

"I don't see the problem with it! Let us begin!" Professor Port stated as he soon broke the lock of the first cage. I grabbed my blade as it fully formed and I saw a Boarbatusk charge straight at me. I noted the armor and saw the underbelly. I sidestepped its charge and quickly striked its side, knocking it sideways.

The belly clear of any armor. As it tried to get up, I made a swift strike and killed in a second as Weiss came back.

"Well done! You have a makings for a Huntsman yet!" Professor Port complimented me as I went back to my seat, my blade turning back into crystal.

Soon it was Weiss' turn to battle. But she had more trouble than I did. She seemed to be yelling at Ruby and refusing to listen to something, do they not like each other?

She finally knocked the Boarbatus upside down and stabbed it at its belly.

"It appear we are indeed in the presence of not one, but two true Huntress and Hunstman in training." Professor Port noted, "I'm afraid that's all the time we have for today. Be sure to cover the assigned readings and, stay vigilant. Class dismissed."

I got up and went to meet with Ozpin, he was supposed to be telling me what is to happen next since I am staying here. I thankfully ran into him a few moments later, making us walk together as we talked.

"How has everything been, Ray?" Ozpin asked and I sighed.

"It's been fine... I suppose. Though I do notice the frequent fighting between Ruby and Weiss." I mentioned.

"Ah... Anyways you now have friends, right?" He asked and I thought about it before nodding hesitantly, "Treasure them. This is what makes you human. This is also what ultimately makes you, you."

I saw Ruby up ahead and Ozpin gestured that I should leave for now and I did as told. I went to my room for the day and started reading the textbooks. Humans knew how to imbed knowledge into their future generations. Placing them on mere paper, bounded together to hold countless of informations.

I was reading through the book of Grimm to find if they have ever met... My kind. A Natara. What was I?

I can't be a mere human like Grimm.

Ozpin himself has stated long ago while I was training here, I had no soul. I was like Grimm. But my abilities make me capable to... feign a soul. To copy what one has to make it my own.

"This should be enough for one night..." I muttered as I placed the book down before looking to the bed, "Maybe I should try sleeping again."

I got up from my chair and laid down on the bed, closing my eyes as I await for the next day.
