THE FOUR REMAINING
LETTERS
WRITTEN BY
MARCINE L. ROBSON.

dear tim,

sadly, i have written this letter because
i'll be dead. i refuse to leave on a bad note.
i'm sorry about what happened, about the
fight. i'm sorry for leaving. i should've called.

take care of curly & angie,
marty.

dear angela,

how do i start? i cant produce tears at the moment, i've run dry from thinking about having to leave you. i will always be there for you when you least expect it. i will always be in your heart. i'm leaving the house in your name. there's enough money under the mattress to house you and dallas if he stays. please, if you need sell the house, take the money, and get the hell out of this damned town. you deserve something so much better.

i love you so very much,
marty

p.s. keep curly outta trouble, i kinda love that kid.

dear ponyboy,

we didn't talk much, but i saw so much of myself in you. i felt the need to constantly watch over you and make sure you were safe. will you keep sodapop safe for me? he needs you more than i'll ever need you. keep those boys out of the slammer, get out of here and make something over yourself.

i love you,
marty

dear johnny,

you're the toughest person i know, kid. fight your way through your troubles. the nurses won't tell me how you are, but i hope you go on to bigger and better things than here. i believe in you.
i wish i would've spent more time with you and ponyboy.

as always, i love you,
marty.
