As the school was now on strike, the busses were as well.

Brendon and I lived 14 miles away from the school, there's no way we were walking that.

"I can't believe this is happening." I said throwing my backpack down and sitting on the curb. Brendon sat down next to me.

"It's ok Ryan, lets go catch a metro." Brendon put his arm around my shoulders and rubbed my upper arms.

"The metros come here at four, Bren it's not even three." I pulled my knees to my chest wen I felt something hit my head. I looked up to see rain start pouring down. "Just my luck." I muttered under my breath but I guess Brendon heard me.

"Wanna try and walk-"

"No Brendon! You shouldn't even be going back home with that-that thing at your house!" I snapped and Brendon pulled his arm back. I grabbed his wrist. "I didn't mean to snap, I'm just upset. My parents don't get off work until five. Your mom isn't home till eleven. Bren, we're screwed." I said and Brendon sighed.

I rubbed my shoulders with my hands as it was getting cold out.

"Here." Brendon took off his jacket and placed it over my shoulders before flicking the hood up onto my head.

I felt myself blush as Brendon rested his arm on my back. I smiled and hugged his coat a little more to cover my chest.

"See, this won't be too bad. I have you." Brendon stated before patting my back.
