"Y-yes.." I looked up from my lap to have my bangs fall in my face.
"I have two tickets to Love Simon. (a/n yes I know it isn't out yet) wanna go see it with me?" Brendon smiled widely as he slide one of the tickets across the table.
"R-really?" Inside I was freaking out. Outside I tried to play it cool. "L-like as a d-date?" I asked quietly. Brendon smiled blushing.
"Yeah." I felt like my heart exploded.

Two weeks later...
I ran downstairs as soon as someone knocked on the door. I checked myself in the mirror and checked my breath before opening the door.
"Oh." I closed the door but Jenna's foot stopped the door from closing on her.
"Wow, good afternoon to you too." She stepped in slamming the door closed. "Who are you waiting for?" She asked kicking her combat boots off. I shrugged.
"Why'd you knock?"
"Because the door was locked." She rolled her eyes going to the fridge.
Then there was a knock at the door.
"Tate!" I called. I heard Tates door open from upstairs. That's when I bolted towards the front door, grabbing the keys on my way out.
I got out as saw Brendon standing there.
He stuck his arm out and I linked mine with his. Yes we are still friends, but I'm going to enjoy this date more than friends.
