Beautiful disaster

She is NOT a beautiful disaster
You spend so much time looking at her flames thinking if how bright she is
You fail to see the mess of ash she left behind
The bones of the bodies she has killed
The melting skin dripping off those who survived
You only see her light

She is NOT a beautiful disaster
You say she reminds you of the ocean
Peaceful and calm
But sweetheart that's the tsunami coming to tear apart peaceful homes
The tears of the mothers crying at funerals as they bury their babies bones
Cause she had the nerve to say she loved them

She is NOT a beautiful disaster
You say she is the breath in your lungs
But she is the wind
Blowing so hard on your face
That you start to suffocate
And with your last breaths you beg her to become a gentle wind
But she wont listen
And time and time again
She will give you just enough air to whisper the words "I love you"
And then she'll go right back to suffocating you

She is NOT a beautiful disaster
She's just a disaster

And the boy I said this to loved the disaster so much he became her
But I fell in love anyway
And called him beautiful
