lightbulb

I am bright
If you let me be I will shine for as long as I shall live
But you shut me off
Mixed up my wires
The only time I was ever turned on was when it was convenient for you
When you touched me the switch was placed on but my fire was turned off
That's why I never burned your fingertips as they scaled my body
You flipped the switch but I was no longer home
And when you left my wires were so jumbled up finding my light was hard
I dimmed myself down for a while
But now after the electricity bill has been paid and the wires have been organized I am brighter than ever before
You might want to stay away
Because you dont touch a turned on lightbulb unless you wanna be burned
