The sun screams at me
"Get up girl the day has started"
But I dont listen I roll over and put my sheets over my head
But my alarm screams next
I get ready and go outside
The wind hugs me
"I've missed you"
I hug my jacket tighter and get in the car
The teacher starts class "good morning"
I do not respond I just open my book
I live the daytime on autopilot just trying to get through
But in the night I say "hello moon"
I go outside and apologize to the wind for not greeting it earlier.
I sing songs to the stars
Tell the night about all my plans for tomorrow
Oh how beautiful it is to be mindful
I cannot wait for the day I greet the sun back tell it my dreams and smile at my boss as I walk into work
But for now I shall enjoy the moon
Tell her to apologize to the sun for me
I'm just not ready to tell her my nightmares
I'm just not ready to get up and push towards dreams
But one day I will
And when I get there I will say
"Hello sun thank you for this beautiful day"
