I kept running, not looking back, even though I knew that the man was gaining on me. I was out of breath, but sped up anyway. I had run all throughout the building, which had many closets and many rooms. I reached a room crowded with old toys and props, reached a torn curtain, and ran onto a stage. I stopped and looked around, panting.
I was in a theatre. An old, deserted music theatre. It was eerie and beautiful at the same time. Luke would have liked this, I think to myself. "Hey!!" I hear the man again, and look back from the curtain that I came from. I didn't see him, but I heard him running towards me, bumping all the props that were in the way. "Hey, you!!" he yelled again, his voice closer this time. I shook my head, ignoring my lungs that were failing on me at the moment, and darted towards the back of the theatre, jumping off the stage and running in between the aisles.
I tried to focus on the door and my breath at the same time, but the door swung open, revealing another man that had the same characteristics as the other one- scraggly hair, a rugged beard, large body, hard muscles. Dark eyes.
He laughs. "Heh, I bet you tried to get away, didn't ya?"
I tried to breathe in and out, praying for my lungs to start working again.
The man shakes his head and started moving towards me. I stepped back, then remembered the man that was behind me. I turned around. He was so close to me I could smell his tobacco-stained breath. "You bitch," he says.
