Harry smiled as he rolled the antidote side to side in his palm; he needed a plan to trick Draco into drinking it, which probably will be fairly easy. Except one tiny problem, Pansy was always clinging on Draco one way or another. It was so annoying - it was much too hard to give Draco something when Pansy was around. The good thing was that Draco was going to stay in the Gryffindor dormitories for a week - that meant he had to have Draco alone for at least an hour this week. Even if he doesn't love him back, Harry wanted to give Draco the antidote... because he was a friend.
Awkwardly, Harry walks beside Draco with Harco resting on his shoulder. Draco was holding a rather small luggage for someone so precise and worrisome, Harry observed. Upon entering the common room, Harry smiles as he sees Hermione and Ron.
"Hello, Weasley, Granger." Draco says in a strained and exhausted voice as he enters the common room beside Harry. Ron immediately frowns but Hermione still wore her signature Granger grin.
"Hello, Malfoy. I hope you enjoy your week here." Hermione flashes him a smile as she elbows Ron, who was glaring at Draco as soon as he stepped into the room, in the stomach.
"What was that for?" Ron gagged, clearly in pain.
"For your eyes, they seemed to be broken." Hermione gritted her teeth as she maintained perfect eye contact with Draco.
"Potter, where is your room? I'm feeling particularly unwell today." Draco grumbled, he was. He felt like his heart and brain wasn't co-operating. His dreams were just distorted recently, it was just horrible. It was as if his heart was going for someone else... that was not Pansy but he loved Pansy... didn't he? It was all so troubling, he's just been feeling extremely unwell in general but he hasn't had the time to go Mrs Pomfrey.
"Would you like to go to Mrs Pomfrey?" "No, not right now. I must go to class soon anyways." "But you haven't slept in ages! Take a nap at least-" "Stop worrying yourself with me, Potter!" They squabbled, leaving both Ron and Hermione to fill in the baps themselves.
"Is it just me... or do they sound like a newly wed couple?" Hermione whispers into Ron's ears as they continued to watch the two argue back and forth. Ron looked back at Hermione with an eyebrow raised before reluctantly nodding in agreement.
"I've actually got some Calming Draught here, at least have some before you leave." Harry gulped, his hands shaking slightly as he reached for the Love Potion antidote. Draco looked much too tired to notice that Harry was shaking, he just wanted to get it done and over with. Just as Draco was about to down the potion, three frantic knocks was heard from the common room's door.
"Open up, Potter! Right now!" A familiarly annoying voice was heard - Pansy. She sounded more annoyed than usual, which made her voice slightly shake. Ron reluctantly opened the door to let the green-eyed brunette in.
"Hello, sweetheart." Draco forced on a weak smile upon seeing the Slytherin girl. He handed the potion back to Harry as he walked up to her, gently wrapping his arms around her waist to bring her in for a kiss.
"Why aren't you in the Slytherin dormitory? Are you staying with Potter for a week? Absolutely not, Potter's a fag!" Pansy interrupted Draco rudely. Draco sighed as he rolled her eyes, Harry was always the conversation subject for some reason. Harry was also feeling quite annoyed but rather hurt, her words seeped into Harry's skin like acid, etching the words letter by letter into his body.
"Potter's not a fag, Pansy and even if he was, I'm already taken." Draco let out a little laugh, as if mocking Pansy for her stupidity. Draco leaned back in for a kiss when he was interrupted yet again. Pansy pursed her lips into a thin line as she shot a glare at Harry, her hands trailed to her wand when Hermione pointed hers at Pansy.
"Don't even think about it, Parkinson!" She hissed protectively as she begin to make her way in front of Harry, cornering Pansy at the same time. Draco's eyes widened for a brief second before it darkened remarkably.
"Granger, put your wand down this instant." Draco threatened. His eyes glimmering an eerily unfamiliar sense of menace but his wand wasn't even out. Harry steps up and places a hand on Hermione's shoulder, slowly shaking his head as her eyes widened. The atmosphere was heavy and stiff, everyone was on the edge.
"Pansy, go back to your dormitory. I am tired for today." Draco sighed, his voice cold and distant as he placed a hand on his head. Harry's face softened slightly as Hermione's guard lowers but Pansy looks even more distraught.
"I-I have some Calming Draught for you, Draco." Pansy immediately rummages through her robe to get out a heart-shaped vial. "I reused the Love Potion's vial if you don't mind." She laughed nervously, trying to ignore Hermione's suspenseful stare. She knows everyone in this room besides Draco knows what she's trying to do and she hopes no one stands up to her. Shakily, she tries to hand Draco the bottle but instead he pushes it deeper into her palm.
"It's okay, Pansy. Potter's got some. Besides, you could use some too." Pansy's eyes grew even wider, her eyebrows knitted as she grits her teeth. Each word sliding off of Draco's lips somehow felt like a tight slap in her face.
"Potter? Potter? Draco, is that a joke?! You trust that bloody bastard more than you girlfriend?!" Pansy shouts, her face reddened to a deep shade of rage.
"Trust? What does this have to do with trust? I'm just tired." Draco raised an eyebrow, silencing Pansy at once. "Pansy, you need to calm down. Potter's got nothing on me. Besides, I'm dating you, shouldn't you trust me?" Draco's visage softens as his voice become quite solemn.
"I... I do trust you! I'm just... I just don't trust him." Pansy hissed acchsingly at Harry, her weak stuttering tone did a complete flip into a wrathful one.
"Then, trust me when I say nothing will happen. Just go back to the Slytherin dormitory, I will be back before you know it." Draco sighs, basically pushing Pansy to the door. Hermione turns to Harry immediately when Pansy leaves the common room.
"Did you never bump into her in the Slytherin common room? Lucky you." She lets out an exasperated sigh.
"Lucky me indeed." Harry nods in agreement as he tosses himself into the comfy arm chair. It was rather nice to relax and sit down than squabble with Slytherins, considering how bloody stubborn they can be.
