I look up at the dark sky,
Appear three stars in front of me,
As I try to connect others,
The majestic Orion I see.The warrior with all his glory,
Drawing his bow,
Suddenly I saw the stars come down,
And before me up they show. There is a prince, handsome, fair,
The man of my dreams,
Go, take his hand, his love,
My heart and mind screams. He offers me a ride on an unicorn,
I am baffled by it.
He takes me to the land of stars,
And on them he makes me sit.I look up at the moon,
"I want that," I said....
He rode away, on a milky path,
Stardust from all sides fade.He grabs the moon and brings it down.
Taking in my hand I am disgusted!
It's an ordinary piece of stone,
Cratered, dust-caked.Confused I looked up at his gleaming eyes.
He smiles, and says, "That's it.
Everything is best at it's place,
The moon shines where it's best fit."And then with a whiff,
He was gone and melted into the stars,
I try to find him and the Orion has shifted,
I realise I have healed from all my scars.I had ever envied the MBBS,
Why am I a nurse? What can't I be them?
Now I truly realise that my life,
Is either easier or just the same. They are like the moon,
Shining in the place they are,
When I will meet them, know their life.
I will realise their ordinary desire.- Shreya Goswamy
