Stayed the notice on the wall,
Forgotten in the melee.
An invitation for Halloween.
A small contact number,
At the bottom of the page.
An insignificant name.
Whipped put my phone.
Saved it in contacts.
TANU... One name...
Sent a message, the crazy me.
She replied and we talked.
And there was that charm,
The confidence, the awe,
The grace and encouragement.
I began liking
The one behind the screen.
Till when it ended, I realized,
I never asked her who she was.
Finally I got the guts...
"Who are you?" I asked...
"Tanushree,"she replied...
Who would have known
That that one moment
That insignificant person,
Would come to mean so much.
My one and only inspiration,
She conquered my heart.
And I grew attached, again.
There was a fear, a doubt.
She never got to know...
I've made friend earlier.
Got deceived a lot.
I had lost emotions, attachments.
She rediscovered the friend in me.
That friend which can do anything,
For the person I get attached to.
And then days passed like a whirlwind.
Farrago, Chiasma, movie screenings
And I felt so comfortable,
It wasn't all smooth.
We had confusions... We fought,
And yet nothing could,
Break us apart.
Limits, boundaries, considerations
All melt when it comes to her.
Talked more on Whatsapp,
Less in real life,
But does that matter?
No... The person does.
And this I feel had been planned.
This friendship wasn't a coincidence.
It was meant to happen.
It wasn't a chance, an accident.
Who knew then that we'd be together?
It's been an year whole.
I was afraid we'd drift away.
But we got only closer.
Just hope we stay the same...
Cause I can't afford to lose her friendship.
I'm afraid someday you'd go.
Our paths would separate.
Would we stay the same?
Only time would say...
Each ticking day...
Matches with the staccato rhythm,
Of my beating heart

It's the birthday of Tanushree Didi tanuandchamp
This is written to commemorate her birthday and one year of our friendship... Party hard and enjoy...
