The night listened
To all my silent fears,
Softly caressing my face,
All my unwinding thoughts,
Racing like the winds.
The sound of my heart,
Shattering with indifference.
The whoosh of my breath,
Dragging the life out of me.
The muffled sobs of pain,
Curses muttered under my breath.
And all the secrets that are,
Locked away in my heart.
Only to be replaced by
A bright smile, a perfect attitude,
At the break of the day.
