"I'm sorry, but did you just say alpha Davis?" I asked frantically, sheer panic written all over my face. Vincent looked confused at my sudden outburst over alpha Davis. Little did he know. "Yeah. Is there a problem?" Riley asked, glancing over at Vincent to only see he was mirroring the same expression; confused. "No, no. It's all good. Um, did he say why he was here?" I asked, my voice small and weak. Talking about my dad, was a subject I hated. I never really got over him. I still hold the scars he left. Inside and out. "Yes actually. He's here for you. He said he wanted to talk." Riley said, completely oblivious to everything. My father wanted to see me. That means he knew where I was. Great. I'm officially screwed.
Riley led Vincent and I to my father. When i saw the cold stone face of my father, I knew I wasn't prepared for this. "Hello Olivia." He said, smirking. He knew he scared me. He always had. "What are you doing here?" I asked, putting a venomous tone on my words, but I probably still sounded weak. "I came to see you of course. Oh, well and that son of yours. I heard he's gonna be a real strong wolf one day." My father said, his voice dripping in confidence. Where was he going with this? "Well that's too bad. He won't be seeing you today. If that's all, then you can be on your merry way now. Goodbye." I said, shooing him out. "Ah Ah Ah, i also came to deliver a message. Keep that son of yours on a tight leash. You have alphas across the world who are interested in the power he holds. They want him to be the heir of their pack. He might just be swooped out of your hold if your not carful." My father said, his eyes just glimmering in danger. He enjoyed this. He wanted to watch me loose my son. Because he knew it would cut me deeper than any wound he could give me, or any words he said. "Out. I want you off this territory now. You have less than ten seconds. Better get started, the clocks ticking." I said glaring at him. He chuckled before turning around and shifting into his dark brown wolf, before running off with his beta and third in command. I slammed the door, before storming off to my room, not taking a second glance back at Riley or Vincent. Because I knew they both shared the same facial expressions right now. Shock, and confusion. But I wasn't in the mood to spill my life story to them. The only person I'd ever told was Emily and Dylan. And Emily's parents but that didn't really count. Dylan knew the best though. He noticed my scars and bruises. He was the only one to ever notice. I used to talk to him about it, and I felt like he understood. Maybe I could do the same now. I decided to ask around the pack, because god only knew if asked Vincent where my ex was. He'd blow a fuse. Eventually, I found him in his room. I knocked before hearing his voice allowing me to come in. I opened the door, to see him reading on his bed. He glanced up, only to grow confused and shocked. Probably because I was rude to him, and assuming he thought I'd never talk to him again. "Hey. Can we talk?" I asked quietly. Shutting the door behind me. "Uh yeah sure. What's up?" He asked, setting his book down on the bedside table beside him. I sat down on his bed, before sighing and trying to think of a way to explain this. "My dad. He uh...he stopped by today. Telling me that apparently other alphas want to take Aidan. That he wanted too." I said, glancing up to meet his gaze and see how he was reacting to this. He looked sympathetic. But I didn't want his pity. I didn't need his pity. "Liv, I'm sorry. Your dads a jerk. Always has been always will be. Point said. Don't let him get under your skin. Even if other alphas wanted Aidan, they couldn't have him. The council would kill whoever tried. You know the rules. So don't worry about that. And for you, I know how much your dad hurt you. And if I could, I'd kill him. But I won't. Because I don't need too. Your a strong amazing woman who's been through hell and back, and can still get anyone to laugh or smile just by being in the room. You're more than that. And your father doesn't deserve your time. He never has." Dylan said. A small smile spread across my face, because it meant something to me that he thought the things he said. "Thank you." I whispered. "I should get going." I said, standing up and heading for the door. "Wait." Dylan said, getting off his bed and walking towards me. We kind of just stared at each other, before he pulled me into a tight hug. I hugged him back. Not because I liked him or anything, but because I really needed it right now. And he was an old friend. Even though he broke my heart. I wasn't the type of girl to let go of a person. Once you have a place in my heart, you're there forever. I can't help it. I try and remove them from my life, and my heart. But it never normally happens. "Thank you for this. I mean it, i really needed." I said, pulling out of the hug. "Yeah anytime." He said smiling, before I left his room. I slipped through the room, and turned around to walk to my room when I was chest to chest with someone. And by the tingles that were erupted just by the small gesture of touch, I knew it was Vincent. I looked up to meet the charcoal black eyes of Vincent. Uh oh. He growled before pinning me up against a wall, sticking his face in the crook of my neck before inhaling my scent, he pulled away, looking rather angry. Furious seemed like a better term to use. "Why do you smell like him?" He growled, before slamming his fist on the wall above my head, making me jump at the sudden action. "Tell me why the hell you smell like another male?!" Vincent yelled, having me wanting to shrivel away and hide. "I ... I - it's not what it looks like..." I said, my voice weak and small. Not now I wanted it to come out. "Then tell me why!" He shouted. His anger not calming down. The whole pack would be out here soon. "Calm down Vincent. It was just a hug." I said, trying to use a calming voice. "Why did you hug another male?" He growled possessively. "He's an friend. And he was comforting me." I said. "Comforting you? About what?" He asked sternly. "Alpha Davis," I said, looking down at the ground. I didn't want to tell Vincent about my father. Not yet. "Why would he need to comfort you about that?" He asked, not believing me. "You know what, it doesn't matter. I can't explain this to you. I have to go." I said before walking away, leaving one angry and confused Vincent behind.
