It was the Tuesday morning. The morning I'd be leaving my independent single mom life, and was moving into Vincent's pack house. He seemed a little shocked when I told him, but happily offered one of the spare rooms. I wish things didn't work out like this, but it did. And if I didn't have Aidan, I'd be half way across the country by now. It's not that I didn't want to live with Vincent only because I hated him. Don't get me wrong, I do. But it's also because being around him drains me of my energy. Emotionally, and physically. It's the fact that the mate bond is so strong, and my wolf is constantly telling me to forgive him, to just touch him and feel his warmth. But I can't. Because giving into that, and feeling that peace and content for that short amount of time, isn't worth the heart break I'd get in the end. I've learned to deal with it. Push the pain so deep down it's just a numb part of me. But living with him, that terrifies me. Because all those years I've pushed it aside, ignored it. But I don't think I can ignore the empty feeling in my heart if I'm watching him take other girls to his room, or constantly smelling the stench of someone else on him. And what scares me the most, is I don't know how long I'll be able to live like that, before I break for good.

"Mommy, when are we leaving for daddy's?" Aidan asked, looking up from his bowl of fruit loops and milk. "Soon honey," I replied, sadly glancing over to the luggage at the door. Emily was still with her mate, and her parents were at a friends this weekend. So they didn't know. I'd tell them, just not yet. Christmas was in four days. And honestly, I have no idea how it's going to play out.

After Aidan finished his breakfast, I packed up everything in the the truck, and got Aidan in his car seat. I hopped In after double checking everything. I turned on the radio, and pulled out of the drive way, getting further and further from my old life.

I pulled up to the pack house, to see Vincent and his beta standing there. Vincent smirked when we made eye contact, which only earned him an eye roll from me. I got out of the truck, took Aidan out of his car seat, and started unloading the car. Vincent's beta, or better yet Emily's brother Riley took Aidan inside. I was taking one of the many suitcases out, when someone grabbed it from above me. I looked behind me to see Vincent, holding one of my bags. "What are you doing?" I asked, placing a hand on my hip, and raising an eyebrow. I guess you could say I was being overly sassy, but the guy gave me no choice. He told me that my son was moving in with him, and that I didn't have a choice, and I could either move in as well, or barely see Aidan. And on top of that he rejected me, to sleep around. So yeah I was kinda in a mood right now. "What does it look Im doing? Im helping you," Vincent said in 'duh' tone. "Well I didn't ask for your help." I said before taking the bag from him and setting it down with the others. "Well sucks to be you." He said reaching for another bag. I huffed before grabbing another bag.
We emptied the rest of the truck in silence. I mean Vincent tried to make small talk, but I shut him down. I wasn't about to have him think I was okay with this.

I carried some of the bags inside, and went back out to grab the rest. Once I was done, I decided to go up to my room. Which Vincent had Riley show me too. "You know Vincent's happy to have you guys here." Riley said, taking us down another long hallway. "That's debatable," I muttered before looking at the ground. "It may not seem like it all the time, but Vincent does care about you. Your his mate." Riley said. "Was. I was his mate." I reminded him. "So your Emily's brother?" I asked, changing the topic before it got even more awkward. "Yeah. You know her?" He asked confused. "You could say that. I met her the day Vincent rejected me. We ended up staying at the same pack. And when she found out I was pregnant with Aidan, she helped me every step of the way. She's my best friend." I said, a small smile on my face. Emily always made me happy. She always knew how to cheer me up. "I had no idea. But it seems like something she'd do. She has a huge heart. Always putting others before her, sometimes it gets herself hurt because of it. But yet she continues to do it." He said before stopping In front of a door. The door to my room I'm assuming. "Well, this is your room." He said, gesturing to the door beside him. "Thanks." I said before entering.
My jaw practically fell off when I saw the room before me. It was very modern, and practically as big as Emily's kitchen. It was the nicest room I'd ever been in. I turned back to Riley, who only had a smirk on his face. "Are you sure this is my room?" I asked, clearly shocked. "Only the best for our future Luna," he said before walking away. Future what? If that's what he thought he had two things coming. One of Vincent's sluts could be Luna. But I will not.
I decided to just toss my luggage in the closest, change into some comfy clothes, and check up on Aidan.
I changed Into some grey sweat pants, and a white cropped tank top, that had a crisscross front.
