I got up quickly to head to the room connected to the room Aidan was sleeping in, Vincent and Tori following behind me.
I entered the room to see Aidan sitting on the bed, staring at the room in confusion, panic evident in his eyes. My baby was awake, and more importantly, he was going to live.
"Aidan, honey, how are you?" I asked in a gentle soothing tone, stroking his hair out of his face.
"Thirsty," he croaked out, he's been sleeping for almost the last 48 hours, he must be dehydrated at this point.
I quickly grabbed my water bottle off of Vincent's desk, opening the cap and tilting it towards aidans mouth.
Once he was finished with his water, i placed the bottle on the nightstand next to him.
"Hey buddy, how're you feeling?" Vincent asked, sitting next to Aidan, who rubbed his eyes groggily.
"I'm hungry," Aidan frowned, as i smiled. For the first time in weeks he was hungry, and I couldn't be happier. Knowing he was going to be okay and that he was going to live lifted a huge weight off my heart.
Vincent smiled softly, in relief I'm sure, as he picked Aidan up. "How about we get some food then, hm?" He asked, as Aidan nodded in response before laying his head on his shoulder.
Tori and I followed the two of them into the kitchen, before Vincent placed Aidan at a chair at the breakfast bar and then excused himself to go to the washroom.
"What do you want, love?" I asked, playfully messing his hair, as i awaited his response.
"Cereal," Aidan said cheerfully. I nodded before walking over to the cabinet to inspect what kind of cereal Vincent had here.
I feel as though Vincent would be the boring type and would only have something like raisin bran.
Yuck.
I rummaged through the cupboard to find Lucky Charms, Aidans favourite. I smiled before showing Aidan the box happily, watching a happy smile appear on his face as he squealed.
"Did you find anything Aidan likes?" Vincent asked, coming back from the washroom.
"Lucky Charms, who would've thought you were the type," I said playfully, shaking the box mockingly.
"He's not. Those are mine, he's boring when it comes to cereal," Tori piped in, frowning as she pointed to the fiber ones box in the open cupboard.
I knew it, boring taste.
"Cereal like that should be illegal," i said, pointing in disgust at the fiber one box.
Vincent narrowed his eyes as he harshly grabbed the box of fiber ones and a bowl, "I'm glad you don't like them, more for me."
I just rolled my eyes, smiling internally as I looked over at Aidan slurping the milk out of the bowl as if it were a cup.
I watched as Vincent did the same, except with his disgusting fibre ones.
Like father, like son.
"That was disgusting," Tori fake gagged, eyeing her brother in disgust.
