Percys POV
I woke up yelling Annabeths name. I grabbed the sheets, looking were she would usually be, but she wasn't there. I panicked and ran to the bathroom, thinking she might be there. Without thinking to knock, I slashed the door open and saw Annabeth washing her hands. She turned around startled. Relieved, I pulled her into a hug and tried not to collapse in her arms. She was confused but returned the gesture. We pulled apart and started into each others eyes. I was afraid to look into to her stormy grey eyes too long, scared that if I looked at them too long, I may never be able to look away.
"What happened?" Annabeth said, breaking the silence.
"I-I had another nightmare." I mumbled.
"Do you want to talk about it?" she asked with worry in her voice.
"No-not really. I don't want to think about what happened." I said.
Annabeth nodded. "Do you think you can go back to slepp?"
I sighed and said sure as we were walking back towards to the bad. We laid down. I pulled Annabeth close. She burid her head into my chest and wrapped her ankles around me. I wrapped my arms around her waste and kissed her head gently. Within a few minutes, Annabeth was softly snoring. I smiled and watched her sleep, while I didn't get any.
Annabeth POV
I woke up and saw Percy. He had bags under his eyes and he looked exhausted.
"Did you get any sleep?" I asked while tangling my fingers into his messy hair.
"No but I'm fine." He replied, his voice deep and scratchy.
"No your not, you look horrible, you need to try and slep." I said firmly.
He smiled at how worried was and kissed my nose.
"I'll be okay, even if I try to sleep, I get the images of my past nightmares, and they've been getting worse and I don't think I can handle it anymore." he said.
"Fine but at least take it easy today." I kissed him softly while getting up to get ready for the day. I put my clothes on and came out. Percy was ready as well so we went down to the dining pavilion. After we ate, we both had different training sessions to do, so we parted ways.
Percys POV
I didn't want to leave Annabeth. What if she hurt herself or a monster came or something worse. I walked to my training anyway but Annabeth never left my mind. I had been training hard and started to feel dizzy. I poured some water on my head and felt a little better. After a few hours, I couldn't take it anymore and had to sit out for a while. I went back to training though after a couple minutes. It had only been an hour until I felt dizzy again. I stumbled and started to pass out. My head was booming with pain and I tried to resist. I couldn't anymore and fell to the ground. The last thing I heard was yelling.
I felt numb and couldn't see anything but could hear and feel. I couldn't talk either so I just laid there, waiting for a voice or something to touch me. I suddenly heard Annabeths voice yelling crazily.
"Where is he, WHERE IS HE!!!" she yelled and I immediately felt guilty.
I heard Will sending her toward me. I felt someone grab my hand.
"Will he be okay?" Annaet aksed.
"He will be okay but he may not wake up until a few more hours or maybe days has passed." Will had replied.
A tear had dropped onto my hand and I felt even worse. Annabeth would be suffering jut as much as I would, maybe more. I tried so hard to wake up, but failed. I stayed silent with Annabeth holding onto my hand for hours.
Annabeth POV
I hadn't left Percys side the whole time. I had fallen asleep on the chair next to Percy. I woke up to movement on my hand and realized that it was Percy. I jumped when I saw him awake, sitting up in bed. I looked at him and threw myself on to him, kissing him blissfully. He pulled away, looking tired, happy, and surprised.
After a few days Percy was allowed to leave, but no training. We went to his cabin since it was closer and Percy was still kinda dizzy. We both fell asleep in each others arms, getting the first sleep without a nightmare in a long time.
