Annabeth is not a demigod and does not know what a demigod is, but she can see through the mist. Sorry, but it fit into the story better. :)

ANNABETH'S POV

I had no idea that he was this weird super-powered weirdo, but the weirdest thing is, I still love him.

ONE WEEK BEFORE>>>

ANNABETH'S POV

I had decided to go to a cafe near my apartment as a way to just get away from all the work I have piled on top of me. I arrived and saw a boy who looked around my age drinking some coffee. He looked kinda cute but a boyfriend or even a crush would not be a good idea for me with all my school work already. I hadn't seen him around here, and there's only one high school around this area. I mean, we could just be friends right?

I walked up towards his table and sat in front of him.

"Hey, uh, I haven't seen you around here. Are you visiting?" I asked.

"Yeah, I'm here visiting my mom," He replied.

"Where do you go to school?"

"Uh, well I'm, home schooled, yeah home schooled." He didn't sound very convincing but I didn't ask many questions.

We exchanged numbers after a few minutes. His name was Percy. He seemed like a good friend. We talked almost every night for 5 days and we finally decided to meet up somewhere. We went to the park near the cafe we met at.

"Hey!" I saw Percy running towards me.

"Hey!" I replied.

"So, I-" He was cut off by a hissing sound.

I turned around and saw a huge snake hissing at me. I looked around for help, but it seemed like me and Percy were the only ones who saw the 6 foot snake that looked like it was about to lash out on all of us. Percy jumped up and took out a pen. What the heck, how could a pen help ki- woah that pen just turned into a sword. Percy started attacking the snake, but the snake wasn't getting hurt. Percy then did something crazy. He made water float from the small fountain in the middle of the park. Woah, okay I'm going mad. He hurtled it at the snake, and the snake fell back and Percy stabbed it once more and then the snake was gone. Meanwhile, everyone else kept on walking like nothing happened.

"What just happened!?" I asked.

"Um, well, you saw that? Okay so you know the Greek gods, yeah well, they have kids called demigods with powers." He explained everything. Camp Half-Blood, the gods and demigods, monsters, everything. It was a lot to take in.

What was weirder was that, I still really liked him. Even more now. But why would a demigod like a regular mortal.

"Okay, so I get it if you don't want anything to do with me because of this. I really liked you though. As a friend, I mean." He said quickly, but yet again he didn't sound very convincing.

"No, I mean yeah I'm kinda freaked out, but I like you too. As a friend, I mean." I smiled. He smiled back.
