(Virgil's POV)
I was just about to sink down to my room after a video when Thomas grabs me by my arm.
"You alright Virgil?"
Should I look or should I keep sinking? It'd been a few days since I had that talk with Roman on the balcony. Since I decided to abandon my emotions. After that night, I've been out of everyone's way and no one's commented on my behavior at all. In fact, no one has even noticed me, which was a blessing in itself. That was until now, at least.
"What do you want?" I responded harshly. Grimacing, I turned around and plastered a fake scowl on my face.
"Well uh, you've been acting a bit... strange recently."
"Don't pretend that you care about me," I replied simply in a bored voice. Not one of them truly care about me, that much is obvious.
"Of course I care-"
"I'm bored with this conversation. I promise to come to you if I have a problem, though." I concluded, hoping that Thomas would be happy with the fake promise that I threw in.
"Well if you're sure..." he trailed off, obviously not believing me. Oh well, it's not like he'd act on his suspicions and try to help me anyway. Looking away, I sunk down, trying my best to ignore the weird feeling in my stomach, the feeling that something was about to happen.

(Thomas's POV)
Ever since I spoke to Virgil, I'd been feeling off, unable to shake the weird feeling from me. I knew that there was something seriously wrong with him, but I had no idea what it was or how to approach him about it.
When I talked to him earlier, I didn't expect him to be so... Vacant. Hostile maybe - even angry at me from prying into his personal life - but not this. This was something different. And I need to figure out what's wrong with him.
"Hey, Roman. Can I talk to you please? Alone?" I added as a second thought, hoping he'd hear me and come up. After a minute of silence, he appeared, followed by someone else... Virgil? Why did Roman bring him, of all people, along?
"What is he doing here?" I hissed untactfully, causing a brief look of hurt to flash across Virgil's previously vacant face. Oops. I examined Virgil's face for a moment as it went blank again.
"I have to follow him around all the time because... I can't go into it now, but it's for his and our safety," Roman responded. "- Not that you're unsafe Virgil," he added quickly. Virgil's gaze drifted out of focus again, causing me to look at Roman for support. Seeing he was also looking at Virgil's expression with worry, I caught his eye.
"What's going on with him, Roman?" I mouthed, gesturing to Virgil's blank face.
"I'm not sure," he mouthed back. That makes the both of us then.
"Well if I'm just going to sit here and listen to you talk about me right to my face, I'm going back to my room," Virgil announced.
"Wait no! We were thinking that we could watch a movie together," Roman gushed hurriedly. What? I hope he's going somewhere with this. Virgil's expression turned to surprise, and he took a few moments before responding.
"Why did Thomas call you then and not me? It's not like he knew we'd be together."
Oh shoot. I looked at Roman desperately. He's the embodiment of creativity, he should be able to think of an excuse right?
"Well we were going to plan a surprise movie night for you, but it looks like that's not happening." Roman winced a little bit at the sorry form of an excuse. Oh well, it's better than nothing.
Virgil's face was blank, but I could see the gears moving in his brain. Would he believe us, or would he not? "Sure..." he responded, still unsure.
"Come on Thomas, lead the way," Roman prodded. He looked at me worriedly before looking away.
I hope he knows what he's doing, because I sure don't.
