**** CAM'S POV *****

"What do you mean you know?" I asked aggressively.

"Well what do you want me to say?" she asked defensively.

"Uh, maybe that you love me too!"

She looked down at her feet and said, "I can't say that Cam. Not yet at least."

What the hell? She kissed me like she loved me. She looked at me like she loved me. Why the hell couldn't she just admit it?

"Well what is that supposed to mean?"

"It means that I want to be in a relationship before I can blurt out the three most important words of a relationship," she said.

With a smile on my face, I said, "are you asking me out, Ms. Black?"

She returned the smile and said, "of course not. I'm waiting for you to do the honors, Mr. Dallas."

I grabbed her hands and asked, "Aria Black, will you be my girlfriend?"

"Nope," she said.

"What!" I exclaimed.

"Nah, I'm just kidding. Of course I will."

I grabbed her face and kissed her again. Her hands wrapped around my waist and mine remained on her jaw.

"Hey love birds? We got company," Nash yelled.

We both turned around to find Shawn, Matt, and Aaron at the entrance of the diner. I looked at Aria and found her face, which had moments before been filled with love, express feelings of hate and coldness. I had never seen a person change personas so quickly. Honestly, it was kind of scary.

'Hey, don't worry about them," I said, as I grabbed her hand.

Our fingers intertwined as she said, "They mean nothing to me."

We walked over to the booth and sat down. Matt and Aaron came over, but Shawn remained at the door.

"Shawn, come on," Carter called.

His face was hard and cold as he stared at me. Only me.

As I approached him, he said, "You two are a couple now?"

"Me and Aria? Yeah, we are."

"Oh. I'm not okay with that."

"Who cares if you are? Who made you pack leader?" I retorted.

He walked towards Aria and grabbed her hand. She pulled away with a look of disgust.

"I want nothing to do with you," she spat.

"HOW COULD YOU FORGIVE EVERYONE ELSE BUT ME? WE ALL DID THE SAME FUCKING THING!" he bellowed.

As tears filled her eyes, she turned away and sat down in the booth.

"Aria, please. Just hear me out. Please," he begged.

As much as I wanted to keep her safe and with me, I knew they had to speak or our entire group would fall apart.

"You instigated it. It was your plan," she said.

"Aria, please talk to him," I said, as I put my hand on hers.

She looked at me first with confusion, then with sympathy. She put her hand on my cheek and I placed mine over hers.

"Why is everything so hard?" she whispered.

"It doesn't have to be. Just talk to him. We can leave afterwards if you want," I said with a smile.

She nodded her head in approval and walked towards Shawn. Together, they left the diner and went outside.
