****CAM'S POV*****
"Shawn!" I bellowed as I entered his house.
"In here!" he called from the kitchen.
He was strumming his guitar and writing in a little black and white composition book.
"Hey Cam, how does this sound-"
"I don't give a fuck, Shawn. We need to talk," I said sternly.
"Woah, hold up. What's gotten into you?" Shawn said nervously.
"I'm done with the lies, Shawn. I'm done with all this bullshit. I love her and so do you. Hell, I'm pretty sure Jack G loves her too. Tonight, Jack J will also. Don't you see? We're all falling for the same girl!" I screamed.
"And what do you want me to do? I've already moved on with Juliet. I'm not apart of your little competition," he responded.
"So you don't care about her?"
"That's not what I said. I just said I don't care about her like that," he corrected.
"Oh yeah? So you wouldn't mind if I came clean then? I hate lying to her. She has this, well, presence that just radiates good vibes, you know? It feels wrong to be bad around her. All I want to be is good. Hell, it even works on Juliet. She's not a total bitch around her!"
"Hey don't talk about Juliet that way," he said sternly.
"Dude, you know I mean no disrespect, but I'm coming clean."
"No you're not!" Shawn said stepping in front of me.
"Yes, I am, Shawn. I'm not ruining my chances with her because you're not man enough to tell her the truth!"
"What will she think of you when she finds out you lied to her the second you met her?" Shawn said.
I turned around and stared at him.
"This is all your fault!" I screamed. "Goddamn it, I love her!"
"You don't even know her! You're just so desperate to find love you'll look anywhere!" he bellowed.
"Says the guy who's with the girl he doesn't give a shit about," I retorted.
"Yeah? Then why would I take her back?"
"So you wouldn't have to compete, bonehead. You'd know I'd win," I challenged.
"I'm not doing this, Cameron," he said. "I like Juliet."
"But you love Aria."
"I don't even know her!" he yelled.
"Then say you love Juliet!"
"But I don't!" he blurted.
His eyes immediately widened as his hand cupped his mouth.
"I mean- I-,"
"Save it," I said curtly. "At least the rest of us are man enough to come to terms with ourselves."
I stormed outside of the house and slammed the door. Shawn followed and said, "wait, Cam!"
"What?" I screamed.
"Don't tell her. Please. It'll break her heart. She'd never look at any one of us the same way. Please," he begged.
I contemplated my next move. I could run next door and tell her, but Shawn was right. She'd hate me as much as the others. She'd be shattered. I couldn't do that. Another option would be to keep the secret. It was just too big a secret to keep. What if she found our real instagrams or Facebooks? She'd find out everything. What if Juliet told her? Or someone else?
"You told Juliet, right? I asked.
"Of course I did. They're like buddy buddy now. I couldn't risk that," he said as he rolled his eyes.
"Tell me this, Mendes. Why are you going through so much for one girl?" I asked.
I knew the answer. I just needed him to accept it.
He gave me a long, hard look and then said shamefully, "because I'm in love with her."
"Finally! Mendes accepts the truth!" I screamed.
He laughed and we bro hugged.
"We good?" he asked.
"Yeah," I agreed. "But we need to do something about this before she finds out."
"Like what?" he asked.
"She needs to love all of us as people before she finds out we're celebrities."
"I think she does."
He was right. She did love us.
"Then what's the harm of telling the truth?" I asked.
"The harm is that we love her too. We're too afraid to lose her," he said.
"She's too good for all of us," Cam said.
"Yeah," he agreed.
