"Shawn, I'm not sure if I'm ready for this," I said nervously.

After hesitation, he said, "Aria, the last couple of weeks without you have been Hell. I need you in my life. If this is the only way... I'm okay with it. I'm ready."

I let go of his hand and walked toward Jesus sitting on the bench.

"Jes-, uh, Justin, do we have to decide right now?" I asked.

"How about this... you and Shawn can leave Heaven and go back to your lives, but if you two kiss, the deal is done. Consider yourself restriction free."

"So let me get this straight," Shawn said. "Right now, everything is back to normal. I can see my mother and Aria can see hers, but the moment that we kiss, we can no longer see our families?"

"That is correct, Mr. Mendes."

"Is there an expiration date?" I asked.

"No ma'am. For the rest of your life."

"I love you, Shawn," I whispered.

"I love you, Aria."

Jesus smiled at us both and clapped his hands twice.

"ARIA WAKE UP!" Jacob screamed, pouring water all over me.

"Dude what the hell?" I yelled.

"Oh thank God! I thought you like died. That'd be hard to explain to Shawn and Nash."

"SHAWN!" I screamed before running out of the store.

I bolted to Jacob's house and entered the house.

"Nash! Shawn!" I called.

"Aria?" Nash said in confusion.

"Oh Nash!"

We embraced for a long time while Nash and I apologized to each other.

"I never should have let you go, Aria. I'm so sorry!"

"I'm so sorry for leaving!"

As we sat on the couch, I asked, "where's Shawn?"

"I'm right here," he said, coming in through the door.

"Do you-" I started.

"Justin."

"You do!" I screamed as I hugged him.

"What are we going to do?" he whispered while we embraced.

"I don't know," I replied.

After Nash left the room, we stopped hugging and sat on the couch.

"Shawn, I know for a fact that I love you," I whispered, my lips centimeters from his.

"But you don't want to be with me," he whispered disappointingly.

"No, I do. I just need some time to think."

I slowly left the couch and wandered out the door.

What should I do? Should I commit myself to one guy and lose it all or say goodbye for good?

"Hey," a low voice said.

I looked up to find a tall, muscular teenager in front of me in a black leather jacket and black pants. His black t-shirt stuck to his body and outlined his defined abdomen. His black shoes kicked a stone and I stopped it with my foot.

"Hi," I whispered, infatuated by his beauty and mysteriousness.

"Aria Black, I need you to come with me," he ordered.

I wanted to retort something clever, but my body was paralyzed. I just stood there with my mouth ajar and stuffed my hands in my pockets.

"Wh-Who are you?"

"That's not important."

"Oh, you're not another guardian angel are you? When did I pass out? Jeez, soon people are going to think I'm suicidal..."

"You're awake and I'm not an angel. Quite the opposite, really," he said with a smirk.

"Great, people are going to think I'm schizophrenic instead," I said with an eye roll. "Wait, then who are you?"

"People call me Lucifer, but you can call me Luke if you want."

"Lucifer? Who would name their child after the devil?" I asked rhetorically.

"Honey, I am the devil."

My eyes widened and I stepped back. Suddenly, my body hit something, so I turned around to find Luke standing there with a devilish smile.

"Wh-wh-what do you want from me? Please, leave me alone," I cried.

"Oh, Aria. You can't run from me."

He grabbed my chin and smiled. "What I want is to make you a little proposition."

"What kind of proposition?"

"Well, you're in a little bit of a situation with the big guy upstairs, aren't you? What if I promised you that you could be with your lover, Shawn, and see your family? You could have it all."

"You're tempting me... Look I'm not even that religious and I know not to screw with you. I'm not making any deals with any devil. Plus, aren't you supposed to be like really old? Why do you look like Theo James. Like seriously?" I said sassily.

His smile faded and morphed into one of discontent. "Careful, Aria."

His icy blue eyes burned through my skin and created pain in my skull. As I screamed, he smiled. After a few agonizing moments of torture, the pain stopped instantaneously.

"What was that for?" I asked stupidly.

He rolled his eyes and said, "there's just one little catch, my pretty. You have to spend one month every three years in Hell."

"Hell no. I am not going to live in Hell."

"Think about it."

And just like that, he was gone.
