Life is full of colours they say,
like the rainbow in your backyard,
life is a rubik's cube I say,
sure colourful, but hard.
Life is an eternal journey they say,
with stations to stop by,
and also some cruel bandits I say,
to loot the passer by.
Life is black and white they say,
at times burned, at times chilled,
yes a black & white chess board I say,
your next move may get you killed.
Life is a garden they say,
fragrance and freshness in the surround,
with beautiful flowers sure! I agree,
but with deathly thorns around.
Life is snake and ladders they say,
the ladders be your family and friends,
& with some sly snakes on every step I say, to poison you before the game ends.
Life brings greenery they say,
like the soothing drops of rain,
I say the trees seem no more chirpy,
when the pitiless hurricanes give them pain.
Life is like a roller-coaster they say,
speeding down and slowing up,
the adrenaline rush is great I agree,
but so not when you throw up.
Life is the best teacher they say,
new lessons at every phase,
teaches you from your mistakes I agree,
but the mistakes you cant erase.
Life's an alchemy of sugar and spice,
at times worse, at times nice,
I say, life is what I feel it is,
life is what you feel it is.
