Move on!

Standing in front of the mirror,
ask yourself what made you feel so inferior?

You cared, you loved, you gave all you could,
And if you had a chance, the more you would,

all you got in return is suspicion of some conspiracy,
they judged you for your love, your transparency,

they were your priorities, you kept them above,
but 'drama' is all they called your love,

they accused you for anything,
they, whom you called your 'everything',

you called them 'my people', 'my gem'
you blamed yourself, when the problem was them,

not a single thing about them had you bothered,
but all day, everyday on you insults they showered,

you believed them to be your true family,
the only place where you could live happily,

but some don't really deserve your love,
nor they deserve to be placed above,

respect is what stands before everything,
without respect can stand no family, nothing,

relationships are strings caught by both ends,
not where one is reckless, while the other always bends,

equal share of love, equal share of worries,
equal share of care, equal share of sorries,

equal share of sorrows, equal share of respect,
shoulder to shoulder, makes the bond perfect.

They took away your smile, they unnerved you,
but the truth is that they never truly deserved you.

Yes you miss them, yes you care,
but the same about you, do they share?

There's only destruction in hanging on,
wiser is forgetting and moving on.
