Charlotte Voss and Zayn Malik had been neighbors ever since they could remember. The two of them had become best friends even though they were three years apart. It was odd, seeing the duo (a young girl and an older boy) running around together.
However, they were inseparable and you rarely saw one without the other. Their friendship was strong until Zayn turned 12, and he began to think it was weird to hang out with a younger girl. They slowly grew further and further apart, until Charlotte and her family moved to America for her father's job.
Once on different continents, the two missed each other dearly. At first, not a day went by where one didn't think about the other. Eventually, both moved on and grew up. Charlotte headed off to highschool and Zayn went on to college. Soon, the two had completely forgotten about each other.
That changed one day, when Charlotte graduated high school and made the decision to attend college at Pepperdine University in California.
This is where our story begins.
