annie's pov
-
i must admit, working in the coffee shop is hard! i don't understand how packed the place is. it's just a coffee shop.

i envy johnny, lauren, kenzie and hayden for working this shop by themselves everyday. it was 10:00pm; meaning the cafe was closed. "so, annie. how did you like your first day?" kenzie asked me taking her apron off.

"it was hard." i rubbed my arm. "you'll get use to it." lauren smiled. "oh! i almost forgot! we all live in the cafe; upstairs. there's six rooms. your dads was the biggest; now it belongs to you. come on, i'll show you." kenzie said taking my hand.

she rushed me up the stairs into a hallway. it was bigger then i expected. kenzie opened the door to room 6 and let me in.

i flicked on the lights. there was a huge white bed in the center. two nightstands and lamps on either side. a dresser, closet and another room which i'm assuming in the bathroom. there was a huge bay window.

"oh, this isn't your room annie." kenzie said. i looked back at her. she still had flour on her cheek; it only showed how perfect she could look even with a mess.

"what do you mean?" i asked utterly confused. kenzie had a small sly smirk on her face. "well, you're dads pretty rich. so, he got all of us huge rooms. my parents and johnny and lauren's parents weren't able to take care of us. so your dad took us in.

"what about hayden?" i was curious about hayden. i was also very determined to figure him out. "he doesn't talk to anyone besides jerry and a little to johnny. other then that, he's a tight closed book." kenzie sighed.

"anyways, let's see your room!" she said walking out. i followed kenzie out shutting her door closed.

she lead me to another hallway until we reached a room. kenzie handed me keys. "your dad said to give these to you or some guy named caleb." kenzie said. i clenched the keys.

"caleb was my older brother. he passed." i said looking at my dirty shoes. "oh, i'm sorry annie." kenzie muffled. i looked back up at her.

she was fiddling with the silver heart shaped locket around her neck. i was tempted to ask her what was in the mysterious locket; yet something was telling me not to.

i unlock the door and turn on the lights. and may i say, wow. there was a huge vanity with lightbulbs framing the mirror. a clear plastic chair in front of it.

there was a huge bed; patterned in black and white flowers. there was some modern artwork on the walls. another room leading to a bathroom and another to a marble themed walk in closet.

"wow." i whispered under my breath. "your dad designed it. me and lauren helped." kenzie's voice echoed in my ears.

all i could see in that, was my father. imagining how proud he would be of me. this is for you dad.
