The rest of the night went by in a blur. Before I knew it we were leaving the club and walking into the parking lot. Adam stopped when we came to a newer model sports car, I took that as my cue this was his. "Nice car." I stated as I adjusted the strap on my shoulder bag. He replied with a quick thank you before unlocking my door and opening it, bowing before me as he opened it. "Your chariot awaits my lady." I turned a bright shade of pink before laughing and shoving him playfully. In all the years I have been with Bobby never once had he opened a door for me. Climbing inside I instantly felt uneasy. This car was REALLY nice, I felt ashamed of my social status just sitting against the tan leather seats. Before I could reach the handle Adam shut my door then rounding around the car to get in the drivers side. "So," he broke the silence as he slid the key into the ignition. "Are we going to get your stuff tonight or tomorrow?" I contemplated for a moment before deciding it might be better to wait until tomorrow. "I just want to sleep." He nodded in understanding while putting the car in drive. I close my eyes and lean my head against the back of the seat. A deep sigh left my lips. For once, I wasn't scared. I felt...safe. Odd considering I had met this man mere hours ago. Neither of us spoke the whole ride. It wasn't an awkward silence, more like comforting. Before I knew it we were pulling into a subdivision, again my feeling of inadequacy poked its head. After punching in the code on a heavy iron gate they opened revealing a beautiful mansion style house. Huge, yet tasteful. My jaw dropped as I took in the rows of trees lining the driveway. The front porch adorned in marble collums. Lights were left on throughout the house, spilling their rays onto the front lawn which was manicured to perfection. Adam noticed my staring a let out a sigh. "Please don't let this change the way you see me." He had closed his eyes fearing rejection. I simply smiled and placed my hand on his, "Why would it?" He opened his eyes searching mine to see if I was serious. A smile soon played across his lips. "Come on, I'll give you a tour of your new home." The last word sent shivers down my spine. Home. I had never really had one. Shutting the car off he rounded my side to open my door. Taking my hand he helped me out. The sound of the garage door closing made me jump as gasp. He let out a amused laugh, "Don't worry doll, nothing is going to happen to you here." Unlocking the door he allowed me to step inside before entering himself. The first thing I noticed was the huge kitchen. The marble counter tops, the stainless steel appliances, the beautiful cherrywood and glass cabinets which allowed you to see what's inside. A set of stainless cookware hung from the space above the island. Cooking was one of my passions and I could definitely get used to using this kitchen. The open floor plan allowed me to see into the living room without any walls obstructing my view. A flat screen tv hung on the wall, beneath it a dark wood entertainment center held numerous gaming systems along with controllers and games. A row of DVDs could be seen on the second shelf. The coffee table and two end tables were both the same color dark wood while the couches and recliner were the color of a soft creme. The rug under the coffee table was a maroon shag. An odd color or a man but I just shrugged it off, allowing my mind to come to grips that I will now be living here. The soft white carpet traveled from the living room up a flight of stairs. My mind wondered about what it looked like up there. Adam broke his silence for the first time, making me jump. I had been so wrapped up in my own world I forgot he was there. "So, how do you like it?" I just shook my head, my throat not allowing the words to come out. "Overwhelmed?" He guessed. Again all I could do was shake my head yes. He grabbed my hand leading me up the stairs and down a hallway of infinite doors. He explained which one was but I couldn't keep up. At the end of the hallway we came to two doors. "The one on the left is my room, the right will be yours unless you prefer one down stairs. This one is a little bigger so I figured you would like it better. Plus it has an amazing view." Opening the door my jaw once again hit the floor. The thick soft white carpet continued into the room, on the left wall there was a tv and entertainment center like the one downstairs minus the games and equipment. The beds headboard was pushed against the right wall in the center with iron frames and a canopy draping down covering the luxurious black silk sheets and comforter. Rows of pillows stacked neatly against the headboard. Two night stands were beside the bed that were the same iron frame with glass tops. What stunned me the most though was the far wall leading to the balcony. It was completely made of glass! The view of the city was breath taking. To say amazing is an understatement. I found myself drawn to the balcony. There was a beach wicker rocking chair with thick white cushions on a tan frame with a matching foot rest. A simple wicker table sat to the side. I knew were I was going to be drinking my morning coffee! A huge smile spread across my lips, this was heaven! I turned to look at Adam but found he was no longer there. Walking back out the room a light was shining from the room next to mine. "Adam?" I cautiously tip toed into the room, a feeling of intrusion took over me. Not watching where I was going I soon came face to chest with a shirtless Adam. My face burned white hot. "Sorry," he apologized as a tooth brush hung from his mouth. "I had to change out of those clothes. It smelled like a straight up bar." He chucked at his own joke. I smiled and apologized for walking in there. He waved a hand at me dismissing my apology. "I know these will be a little big but it's better than sleeping in jeans." He handed me a shirt and some boxers. A toothbrush sat on top. "The shower is over there if you would like to take one." He pointed down the hallway which was now dark. I simply nodded before turning heading that direction. The shower was exactly what I needed. The hot water seemed to wash away all my tension and worries. Turning off the water I realized I had forgotten to bring a towel in with me. Embarrassment shook through me as I weighed my choices. Freeze to death while waiting to air dry or ask Adam. I eventually chose the second one. Poking my head out the door I call for him. He appears almost out of nowhere. I tightly hug the door to my naked frame so he couldn't see. He had a puzzling look on his face. "I forgot a towel." I blush explaining why i had called him. He smiles and disappears soon reappearing with a plush towel. I close the door thanking him before drying off and getting dressed. I fold my dirty clothes then brush my hair and teeth. Wiping off the mirror I notice my eye was now a dark purple. The marks around my neck were more noticeable as were the marks on my lip. I lifted my shirt and examined the bruises on my ribs and tummy. The dark purple colorations spread from right under my breast to my hip then down to my pelvic bone. The boxers I had on exposed all the marks and scars on my legs. I was afraid of what Adam would say when seeing them. Sucking in a deep breath I exited the bathroom. Seeing Adam laid on his bed shirtless and relaxed took that breath away once again. I look down at the floor before entering the room. "Umm where can I wash my clothes?" He stands up and comes to my side, concern filled his eyes. "Are you ok?" I simply just nod my head and look at the floor. "I just need to wash my clothes." I feel his gaze bore into my skin. I feel his hand under my chin, gently lifting it up so I could look at him. His eyes shown bright in the darkness. "I promise you Hannah, nothing will ever happen to you again. Not while I'm around." A tear escapes my eyes, slowly rolling down my face. He brushes it away with his thumb. He then traces my bottom lip. "You are a beautiful woman Hannah. You deserve the best." My breathe began to catch and my heart beat faster. His other hand went around to my back pressing closer to him. His other gently cupped my face, bringing his closer to mine. The air seemed to fill with electricity as the anticipation builds. I closed my eyes and slightly lean up on my tip toes, dropping my clothes and wrapping my arms around his neck. The second our lips touched it felt as if a million sparks went off inside my body. I pulled myself closer to him, I had to have more. He took the hint and picked me up, wrapping my legs around his midsection. Our kisses get deeper, more needy. He carried me to the bed, laying me down gently before positioning himself beside me. His hands tangled themselves in my hair as his lips crashed into mine once more. My hands traced the muscles on his stomach, stopping right above the waistband of his pants. At that moment my mind seemed to catch up with my body. Pushing his chest slightly I pulled away. "Adam I can't do this..." His eyes softened, "I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable." I sat up and pushed myself off the bed, walking backwards away from him. "I'm no good Adam. I...I should go." With that I grabbed my dirty clothes and ran out the room. My eyes burned with tears, I just wanted to run. But where would I go? I would worry about that later, I just had to get away from here. Adam was following me down the hall, attempting to catch up. "Hannah wait!" I flung open the door and darted into the garage before making my way down the driveway. Adam grabbed my arm spinning me around to look at him. My reflexs kicked in as I covered my face and coward, waiting on the punches that I have became so accustomed to.
