Adam's POV

After three days in the intensive care the doctor decides it is time to bring Hannah out of sedation. A few hours have passed and now it is just a waiting game to see if she wakes up on her own. Sitting in the uncomfortable plasic chair by her bedside I stare up at the ceiling, rubbing my thumb across the back of her hand. Taking a deep breath I let it out slowly, glancing at the clock on the wall. 2 hours and 15 minutes and counting. Blowing the air out through my nose I look back to her face, brushing the hair from her face. My hand rest gently on her cheek. I stand up to stretch my legs, deciding to go get something to drink from the vending machine in the hall. Kissing her forehead I walk out, digging change from my pocket. Clicking my tongue I stare across the glass, wondering what excatly I wanted. After a minute I decide on ginger ale hoping it will settle my stomach. Suddenly I hear yelling from down the hall, seeing the nurses scramble and run into Hannahs room. I run after them, leaving the soda in the vending maching. Sliding to a stop at the doorway I watch as the nurses try to calm her and reasure her she is safe. Even through her panic I couldn't help but smile as I walk towards her, "Baby!" My voice filled with relief as I quickly cross the room and wrap my arms around her. Her body stiffens under my touch, slightly pulling away. I quickly let go and look up at her, my eyebrows scruntching together, "Hannah?" Her face is filled with confusion as she looks around, finally settling her eyes on mine before she mutters the three words that shatter my heart. "W-who are you?"
