Adams POV
It's been ten days since I have brought Hannah to the hospital, I haven't left her side once. My mom got to go home two days after her surgery and is healing well. I still can't believe she donated one of her kidneys to Hannah. The doctor said she is accepting it well with no signs of rejections so that's good news. But she still hasn't woken up. They say the body takes time and everyone does it on their own time. So now it's just a waiting game. Reese came by yesterday with Stephanie to check up on me and Hannah, Reese informed me that Bobby had been arrested and they were holding him without bail for multiple charges. No one reported me as being the man who beat him half to death. Reese told the police it was a bar fight and he didn't get a good look at the man. I ended up giving the number of my head security department to Reese, he deserves a better job then just a club bouncer. Once Hannah is home and healthy I will make him the head to my tour security. Stephanie didn't have much to say, just did Hannah's hair and make up, saying she always loved being dolled up and hated being without makeup. Jesse comes by everyday to make sure I have eaten and tries to get me to go home and get some sleep. I am scared to leave her, I just know as soon as I do something is going to happen. The nurse was nice enough to arrange for a recliner to be brought down here so I can sleep more comfortably, although I don't really need it. I spend most of my time in the bed with Hannah, holding her. I sing to her every day, tell her stories from my childhood, talk to her about my family and friends. I tell her all the things I want to do once she gets better. Everyone says that talking to people in comas helps them right? It's about 1:40 in the morning and I am laying next to Hannah playing on my phone. I decide to check my email, seeing I have a few unread emails from my manager. Opening the first one it's a link to a news story about me and Hannah going to the mall. The title alone was enough to piss me off. "Levine's new charity case." Under the headline it had a few pictures of me and Hannah walking into the mall. It has a close up of her arm and the track marks. I close out of it before I get more aggravated. The next one was the story about Mark and how we helped him get a job and his new home. That one made me smile. The next one made my heart stop. It was a few pictures of the day everything happened with Hannah. The pictures were of me running next to the stretcher with Hannah, blood covered my clothes and arms. The next picture is of me through the ER doors, talking to the doctor with my mom. I close out of that one too without reading anything before I get upset. Putting my phone down I turn my attention back to Hannah, stroking her hair and face. Her eyes seem to twitch a little, like they were trying to open. "Hannah, come on baby come back to me." Her eyes twitch again this time a little harder. I get up and call the nurse in there, "I think she's trying to wake up!" When I turn around her eyes are wide open and she seems to be choking. I run back over to the bed, "Hannah baby calm down, look at me. I'm right here just calm down." I grab her face and make her look at me, "Easy, just breathe baby. It's ok. Just look into my eyes." Her breathing slows down a little as she grabs tight onto me. The nurse begins to work the tube out of her throat and hooks a oxygen hose under her nose instead. As soon as the tube is out of the way and she drinks some water I pull her face close to mine and kiss her until I can't breathe anymore. "Don't ever leave me, I need you in my life and I couldn't imagine it without you. I need you forever and always. I love you with ever fiber of my being and I need you to know that. I am sorry that I wasn't there to protect you but I promise that will never happen again. I will never let anything happen to you ever again. I love you so so much. I can't stress that enough-" She cuts me off with a kiss and then says the words I have been waiting to hear. "I love you too Adam." I smile and kiss her again, pulling her into my arms. Her tiny frail body feels lighter than it was before. The doctor walks in and does a full check up. Everything seemed to be healing fine and she could go home but only if she stayed on bed rest and we had to stay for a few hours of observation. I called my mom to bring her some clothes to go home in and Reese so he could help us get out of the hospital with as little paparazzi as possible. After getting Hannah carefully into a wheelchair I take her to my car, lifting her softly into the front seat. I fold up the chair I bought from the hospital and stick in the truck. Getting in the front seat I start the car, reaching over to hold her hand. "Are you hungry baby girl?" She begins smile and squeezes my hand back, adjusting the hose under her nose. "Yea I am starving." She sounds so weak and hoarse, it breaks my heart. "What do you want to eat baby?" She shrugs her shoulders and her eyes seem to drift in and out. "Do you want to eat out or you want me to cook something for you?" She smiles and looks over at me, "Cook." I smile at her and kiss her hand, careful of the iv sticking out. "Cooking it is." I punch in the code to the gate and wave to the new security guard. "Whose that?" Her weak voice asks from my side, "I enlisted some new security, also had new alarm systems and things around the house." Her smile drops from her face as I push the button to open the garage. "No!!" She screams. She starts thrashing around, "Don't take me in there!! Stop the car! Please stop!!" I slam my foot down on the break and throw it in park. Grabbing her face soft I focus her on me, "Baby, it's ok we won't go in there ok? Look, we aren't going in there ok?" I close the garage back so she can't see in there. Jumping out the car I round to her side, throwing the door open and dropping to my knees in front of her so she can hang on to me. "Shh it's ok sweetie, I got you, it's ok." Her sobs rock her body as I rub her back. "I'm gonna get your chair and we will go inside ok?" She nods weakly and I rush to get her wheelchair. Gently lifting her out the car I then grab her oxygen tank and iv bag. The security guard helps me open the door and helps me get all the stuff inside before closing the door. "Do you want to lay down while I cook?" She shakes her head fast while latching onto my arm. "Don't leave me Adam, please. Don't make me be by myself." I gently grab her hands and hold them to my heart. "It's ok baby I won't make you be alone. I got you right here with me." I lift her up and hold her tight to my chest. "Will you sing to me like you did in the hospital?" I smiled and stroked her hair, "How did you know about that?" I kiss her forehead. "I heard you, in my mind we were here and were outside by the pool and there were candles everywhere and it was really nice." I smile and begin humming. "What do you want me to sing baby doll?" She shrugs her shoulders and burrows her head in my neck. I walk over to the couch and sit down, with her still in my arms. I start to sing a song I had began to write for her. "Hey you, come over and let me embrace you I know that I'm causing you pain too But remember if you need to cry I'm here to wipe your eyes Tonight before you fall asleep I run my thumb across your cheek Cry 'cause I'm here to wipe your eyes I know I made you feel this way You gotta breathe, we'll be okay Cry 'cause I'm here to wipe your eyes." I look down and see she has fallen asleep. I position us so I am laying on the couch and she is laying on sort of next to me and sort of on top of me. "Goodnight beautiful, I love you." I kiss her forehead one more time before falling asleep, holding the most precious woman in the world.
