CHAPTER 7
*ZOE'S POV*
School again. Glad my lump flat down.
What happened yesterday was unexpected. Being with Craig and Ashton felt awkward, awkward because I'm spending time with someone who I just met. They're still strangers to me, we're not close enough, to make myself comfortable whenever I am with them. But yesterday, I learned something from them both, which gave me a little clue of what kind of person they are.
Craig, he's more mature than he looks. He's not loud about his thoughts, opposite to his appearance. He's mysterious.
Ashton, he's... Confident? He's not conscious about his actions. What he was outside was all he is inside.
Maybe.
Since our project's done, I decided to ignore them. I cannot avoid them since we are on the same class. This sucks.
"It seems we have our first to submit the projects. And it turns out it was coming from Trevor and Roosevelt, it was quite surprising. You've done a great job, and Ms. Keaton congratulations for having the guts to get along with them." He said fascinated.
"I told ya Mr. Sanders, we're going to nail it!" Ashton bragged.
"And we did." Craig followed.
They reached for a fist bump over my head. Craig's assigned seat was at my back and Ashton on my front. No matter how I avoided them, it wouldn't work. Maybe if I only look side by side, I can free my sight from these two idiots.
I already planned it in my head, after this class I'll just act like they don't exist. My life's all stressed out since these two arrived in school. Yes, there were other bad boys or bullies in the academy, but them? They're much difficult to handle. I guess irritating was the right word.
"Okay, I have an announcement to make. The school will be sending me for an event at Nevada so we will meet again two weeks after today." Mr. Sanders narrated.
The students started to cheer. Who would not want a rest from history class, it was boring, they said. But not for me, because I knew all the teachers' drill.
"But... I'll be leaving home works for you to finish before I came back." He added.
See? That's what I'm talking about.
The cheering now turned to booing and whining. Especially those lazy assed students. That includes Craig and Ashton, of course.
Mr. Sanders dismissed us long before the bell rang, so we're still not allowed to go outside.
Fortunately, I am a committee officer, I'm allowed to do my duties whenever I have time. So, I headed to Mrs. Thompson just to escape the noise of my classmates and the annoying Ashton and Craig.
I grabbed my bag and walked towards the door.
"Where are you going?" Ashton asked while standing by the door and blocking it with an arm.
"How far can you be so annoying Ashton? You're getting better at it every single day."
"Maybe until you get used to it." He said followed by a wink, then unblocked the door.
I sighed in disgust and looked at him. "Thank you."
Finally, I'm out! I'm free!
Well... until the bell rang and the students flowed from the classroom doors. My cheerful face a while ago turned to a pokered face. This wasn't totally what I wanted.
