CHAPTER 14
*CRAIG'S POV*
I knocked on the door, hoping Zoe's doing alright. "Everything okay? You need help?"
"No, we're fine." Sasha answered. "We're almost done."
I waited outside the girl's room, Ash was beside me too. I knew it all along. If not for him Zoe wouldn't be doing this, my patience is getting thinner.
"What's wrong with her?" He scoffed.
"Why don't you ask yourself asshole." I said in rage.
"Hey! I didn't do something wrong. As far as I remembered."
"Think again Ash." I left him, I cannot stand another second standing beside him tonight. I may not control my anger and give him a kiss from my fist, and that's the last thing I want to happen.
I sat on the bar to order another drink, drinking hasn't caused me anything. I don't feel drunk or dizzy at all after several shots of vodka a while ago. This is the time I wanted to be drunk so badly but it's going the other way around. The more I drink, the sober I get, fuck that.
I tighten my grip on my glass every time I think about Ash, and that Sasha. What a thick-faced asshole he is showing her to Zoe. And what an idiot I am to mention they're exes.
"What a looser." Bridget sat beside me. "Drinking way ahead of your tolerance? That's all dumb."
I know who's she referring to. "Shut up Bridget, if you want to get out here alive."
"Oh, really? What does that Keaton have that I don't? It's okay for me if Ash like Sasha, she's way better than me, and I accepted that. But you sort of liking Zoe? No way."
"I said shut up!" I shouted at her, stamping the glass on the bar. The crowd around looked at us. "I'm outta here." I said, avoiding further trouble.
I went back to Zoe, whom I spotted by the exit. "I've been looking for you. You should take her home." Sasha said, Zoe's arm slumped over her shoulder and her arm around Zoe's waist.
"Where's Ash?" I asked.
"Paying the damage caused by her." Pouting her lips to Zoe. "She accidentally swerved by a table, hitting a glass."
"He should be carrying Zoe, not you. Tch." I said.
"Done!" Ash walked to us. "You take her home Craig."
"No, you take her home." I said. "I don't have a car, I brought my bike."
"Take me home, pleeeease." Zoe said dragging, still head down.
"Fine, you go with Craig." He told Sasha. "Give me Zoe."
He carried her in front of him like a baby, Zoe's arms wrapped around his shoulder, head on his chest. I'm so jealous right now, stupid bike.
However, we all agreed to the terms, I searched for Bridget but I can't find her so we left her behind. I made sure Zoe's lying on the car seat comfortably and told Ash to drive slow and safe. Safety measures, he had a lot of booze tonight too.
"Better get going, it's dawn." I said.
"Is her mom waiting for her? What will I say bringing in her daughter like that?" Ash asked.
"Uh, now that's our problem, coz she's not. She made her way out by the window."
"What the..? Argh, such a troublesome girl." He sighed.
"Go, it's quarter to four, soon you'll be carrying her on a broad daylight." Sasha said.
I started my motorbike and Sasha hopped in. So did Ash in his car. Zoe's still asleep, not knowing what's going on and what trouble she's making up.
