TAMED XXXI - BIBINGKA

I STRUMMED my guitar, lost in thought about the incredible time I spent with her last Friday. Our first-period teacher was a no-show and failed to give us a heads up, so we were stuck with nothing to do but kill time before the next class.

As I thought about her, I noticed that I had been unconsciously humming the same song repeatedly. It wasn't until Riane tapped me on the back that I snapped out of it.

"Kanina ka pa nila hinahanap." Itinuro ni Riane ang pinto kung saan naghihintay sina Faye at Reign, mga malalapit na kaibigan ni Trina.

"We hate to be a bother, but we really need your help!" Reign implored, filling me in on the details. It seems that she had planned to serenade her significant other this morning and they were counting on me to help her make it happen.

"Wala kasi si Liam at Trina ngayon kaya problemado si Riane kung sino'ng maghaharana. Planado na kasi ang lahat, sayang naman effort namin kung hindi matutuloy," paliwanag ni Faye.

"Do guys like being serenaded?"

"Sorry, Zamantha, but you've got the wrong idea. We're not going to serenade a guy!" Napatingin ako kay Reign na problemado pa rin. Babae?

Why did I forget they're Trina's friends? Hindi parin ako makapaniwala, ang gaganda kasi nila, hindi mo talaga aakalain na maganda din ang hanap nila. I don't know with Faye, dahil may boyfriend ito.

At parang nagiging lapitin na yata ako ng mga babaeng nagkakagusto sa kapwa babae-darn, I think I'm a legit gay right now. But only for this certain someone, teacher ko nga lang kaya hindi ko talaga mapapanindigan ang dugong bahaghari ko kung meron man.

"Wait what? Si Movriah?" Pag-uulit ko ng banggitin ni Reign ang pangalan ng taong tinutukoy niya. Sobra 'yong gulat ko dahil hindi ko talaga makakalimutan ang pangalang 'yan.

"Yep, it's Movriah Graille Jaije." Faye smiled winking. " That beautiful bitch."

"Hey, that's foul. Don't call her like that!" asik ni Reign sa kaibigan.

"Don't call her what? Beautiful?" Mataray na bwelta ni Faye habang sinusuklay ang kulot niyang buhok.

Reign frowned. "Bitch..."

"Reign, I can't help you. Movriah hates me, para 'di na kayo magtanong," wika ko. Si Movriah iyong bumuhos ng kape sa akin noon. Kahit na iyong propesora naman talaga ang gusto niyang saktan, hindi pa rin tama 'yong ginawa niya. Muntik pa nga akong mapatalsik sa university na ito dahil sa kanya.

"You're wrong Zamantha, Movriah likes you now. I'm aware of that issue before, she did it by accident to you. She regretted it after which, gusto ka nga 'non kausapin eh but instead, she went to Miss Ritchel to apologize. She was just driven of her struggles that day. She didn't mean to hurt anyone, believe me, she may be bitch sometimes but she's a very good person."

Faye elbowed her. "I can't believe you're that in love, Reign!"

"So fucking what Faye. I'm loving her flaws, imperfections and I accept her mistakes. I love her with all she has, she's the best for me and that's what true love is all about. I think I'm really in love."

"Zamantha? I'm begging you," tapik ulit niya sa balikat ko.

I licked my bottom lip and took a deep breath. "Sige na, save those mushy lines later for her Reign."

Bakante rin naman ako kaya pumayag na ako kahit may pag-aalangan pa rin sa puso ko dahil si Movriah nga iyong haharanain. It's been a while... but our schoolmates still pit us against each other. It's getting tiring, so today, I have decided to end all of that.
