Time.
I looked into my purse which I had been holding the whole time.
That was stupid of me to hold something blindly without looking at it.
'I Guess that ladder did something to my eyesight too', I scoffed.
I saw that there were worn out shreds of paper and money in it.
'Was I really that messy?'
I showed an unpleasant face as disgust was plastered on my face.
Since I saw that there was money, I looked back at the hotel and stood up from the bench as I was starting to get wet.
I walked in and went to the counter.
"How can I help you?" The counter lady said to me with a smile while looking from my face to my waist, seeing that my hair had small beads of water droplets on them.
Her skin was fare and her hair was neat as if a thick amount of gel was concentrated on one part of her head, which glued her hair down.
Her smile was wide and showed most of her upper gum, if she smiled even further I would be scared it would end up touching her ears.
Maybe that's why there's no one that's daring enough to go to her counter, and just queues up for the other two beside her.
"Hi, I would like to have a room." I said as I peeked over to look at her computer.
She handed me a piece of paper and told me to write my name and my phone number.
She took the paper back giving me an opportunity to see her chipped nails.
"Holland... hmm you already have a room." The lady said looking a bit confused.
"But you did tell me to help you keep your room key." She said handing me my key.
I bowed as I took it from her hand.
I walked to the lift as I stared at the glittering golden card.
'level 56.' was written on the key.
I went into the lift and pressed level 56.
My ears tingled at the cold air that was constantly hitting it.
The music which was in perfect synchronisation with the beat of my heart which finally felt as ease.
The music made me feel as if I was floating in the clouds, something which I hadn't felt in so long.
The elevators ring made my eyes slowly open as the lift door opened with the same motion.
I walked out slowly, feeling the carpet sink into my feet as the chandelier above me shined so bright as if it wanted to explode.
Amazement was filled in my mouth as my mouth was left open as I walked around trying to find my room admiring the walls which had different patterns and textures.
People stared at me while I looked around wondering around to find my room.
I looked at my key again seeing a number written on it, number 95, that must of been my room number.
When I finally opened my room door I gasped as I saw the crystal lights hanging from the ceiling and the long windows which were from the ceiling to the floor, showing a beautiful scenery.
I shut the door and saw a different door inside the room.
I opened it and saw that it was a living room with a television and another toilet.
I jumped on the bed and saw my suitcase on the floor and my phone on the table.
The clothes in the suitcase were almost all the clothes I had always dreamed to buy, but was definitely too expensive to afford.
I grabbed my phone from the table and called my dad.
"Hello dear, how is the dorm in your university like?"
"Hey dad, Wait what dorm? What university?" I furrowed my eyebrows.
"what are you talking about? you are starting university in a few days."my dad said in with a questionable voice."I am only 16 dad." I said fearing to hear what he was going to say next.
"You are 18 dear you were 16 two years ago! Don't make me wish you were 16 again!" My dad said playfully. "You should quickly pack up and go to your university before you get the worst dorm!!" My dad had said chuckling as he hung up.
My eyes blinked slowly as my face turned pale.
I switched off my phone and switched it back on.
Looking at the time and date which showed on the screen.
He was right.
Two years did pass.
