Jack took a deep breath. Preparing for his mother, or Noah, to barge in on him. Blood dripping everywhere it looked like someone was killed. In stepped a pair of pink fuzzy slippers and a purple night gown. Ashley.

Jack didn't care anymore. He just cried and cried more. His sister came running towards him. Holding him in her arms. She didn't care how messy her clothes and hair and face were getting. She just knew that she needed to hold Jack. Jack needed her. After a couple minutes Jack looked up into his sisters matching brown eyes. "Ashley, you are beautiful, I love you" Ashley just pecked his forehead. "I love you too Jack. Now let's get cleaned up before mum finds this and loses her shit" The twins laughed and stood up.

"Okay Jackie, you go relax, I'm gonna have a shower than you have a shower and we can both clean." Jack nodded and went out of the bathroom to give his sister some privacy. He plopped down on his bed and stared at his T.V. it was on and The Emoji Movie was playing. All the happy light up animations made Jack zone out into the screen. Ashley must've washed her hair a billion times before it went from a blood red on the tips back to a golden, brown. Her hair was curly like her brothers but a different color and she liked that. It separated them. She got out of the shower and looked at herself in the mirror. She remembered the words people always used to call her . "Slut" "Whore" "Hoe" "Skank" "Stripper" all those nasty names. Ashley was in fact asexual and no one could take that from her. Her father touched her in ways that no one should touch a little girl. She was scarred for life at the age of 5. She didn't like to think of her dad as her dad. She had a crush that no one knew about but he was in the bullies group. Jacob Sartorius. He was the quiet one and didn't bully anyone, he didn't smoke or drink. He was only in that group because he was popular and his older brother was. He used to have eyes for Millie Brown but no one was sure now. Anyways he would never fall for a girl like her.

"Jack I'm done in the shower, you can go use it" Jack obliged and walked into the bathroom poorly avoiding the pools of blood. He had a quick shower before getting out and changing into some pajamas. He then met his sister in the hallway. "I got a bunch of cleaners and things to clean the blood up with... want to help me or go to bed?" Ashley whispered to not wake anyone up. It was late in the night and they were not supposed to be up. "I-I'll help you Ash" Jack mumbled following his sister to the bathroom. They scrubbed the floor for about an hour and by that time it was 4 in the morning.

"Well this has been fun Jackie" Ashley said turning to leave the room. Jack watched as she got to the door frame and stopped in her tracks. The picture. Their mom had a picture hanging up of their father. Outside Jack's room on the mantle. Since Ashley got home Jack tried to hide it. Their mother never found out about the rape and thought the abusing was all alcohol and deep down his mother still loved this sickening man. His mom found the picture and put it right back on the mantle. Jack knew exactly what Ashley was afraid of. She shivered and turned around almost crying. "Jack..." she longed for him to hug her but he did something else.

He walked past her and grabbed the last picture of their father they had. He walked back into his room and opened his window. He threw it against Noah's house. He heard the glass shatter and Ashley sighed with relief. She ran over and wrapped her arms around him. "Thanks Jackie" "Anything for my twin sister" Jack said with a laugh. "Hey Jack?" Ashley glanced at her brother. "Yes Ash?" "Do you mind if I... well can I... would you care if I slept with you tonight?" She asked wincing at her own words. She always though she was the strong one but Jack knew there was much more she liked to keep hidden from him. Now it wasn't hidden it was out in the open and Jack knew that she had never felt that before. Jack wanted to make her feel like the strong one again. He had too.

"Yeah.. I was actually..umm... about to ask you. I don't want to be left alone. I need you to keep me safe." and with that the two cuddled up in Jack's bed a fell fast asleep.

In the middle of the night Jack woke up to go to the bathroom. When he came back, before he became sleepy again, he looked deeply at his sister. God he had missed her. She had been so busy with friends she barely had time for him anymore and when she did he was busy with his friends. It was never how it was planned. He was so glad his sister was still there. He cuts now but if Ashley died he was almost sure that he would be hanging from the ceiling fan by now. Ashley was so pretty. The moonlight had shone in through the window. It made her facial features glow. She had light freckles across the bridge of her nose, Her eyelashes were long and Jack knew they had the same eyes underneath, she had plump pink lips, her earrings were very pretty, dangly stones that made her eyes pop beautifully. She had a pair of diamond earrings from her friend Lilia who was a big fashion icon like Maddie, Millie and Sadie. Sadie not as much but still. Lilia got Ashley these beautiful, expensive earrings that made her look like she came off of a movie set. The same year Jack bought her a crap pair of earrings from a department store because he couldn't afford anything more.

He felt so bad that her friend could get her more than her brother. But she liked the earrings Jack got her more. She wore them every day and whenever someone complimented them she said 'Thanks my brother Jack bought them for my 12th birthday' She was so happy with those earrings. When Jack asked her why she wore them rather than the better ones from Lilia she said 'The ones from Lilia are expensive and make me look rich and a different person. But I am not that. I do not have that kind of money or class. But these ones are simple. Beauty is found in simplicity. And I think these make me look LOVELY'
